ORIGINAL: DesFIP As already said, this is what makes it a fantasy as opposed to something I'm interested in trying. I see a lot of profiles where the guy says he specializes in turning fantasies into reality. That makes me roll my eyes because he obviously doesn't understand that you can be turned on by the idea but turned off in reality. People have all kinds of fantasies; being dismembered by a chain saw, tortured by evil villains working for the opposition, tentacles, Klingon sex. None of these are things you want to happen. And often, they're impossible to make happen. Agree. Some fantasies are too implausible for reality. Some fantasies have a solid basis in reality but they are dramas we project on the movie screens of our minds. We are our own producers, directors, and actors. When a live person comes along they just get in the way and fuk it all up. Need to keep fantasy apart from reality. Reality tends to be a spoiler, although of course reality has its own uses. One thing i have noticed about fantasies is that they have to be rewritten quite often. The same old same old do tend to get boring and er unuseful. I suppose the same can be said for "reality" which is often also just a fantasy in three dimensional flesh and bone. wtf?
