Leader or follower in church, all are equal. Depending on the church, there isn't just one leader (the pastor or priest). One can take a leadership role within each church in order to use the talents they have for the betterment of their community..

Your question is too vague to answer. Equal to whom or what? Other people that go? The leader of the church? The deity that particular church believes in? You are going to have to ask intelligent questions if you want intelligent answers, donkey boy.

As a Jew it makes me equal. The rabbi is not needed to interpret my prayers and make them acceptable to God. He isn't needed to have a service. All we need are ten adults, one of whom knows the liturgy well enough to lead the service.

I am a follower of Christ's teachings. The leader < Pastor > of my church is a follower of Christ's teachings. I am not a follower of the leader < Pastor>. That makes us equal. mbmbn

As a militant Atheist (see my profile) I sometimes enter a church for the beautiful music and peaciful surroundings. I was taught that a church (building) is very different from the Church (people) and so it is. I note that your question has "church" spelled with a lower case "c." So an equivalent question would be "Does going to a garage make you an engine, a back seat or equal?" [Thanks holly] ALL: Note that this is in the "Random Stupidity" forum. At least blacklion got that right! LOL!
