wanders mentioned in a thread that she wondered about how Doms show their Dominance in public. I'm curious as well. So, D types, do you? If so, how? s types, how do your current and previous D types do it? I don't, plain and simple. My ex sub, kat, was confused about that. Since we met, though, she's seen me taking care of others and directing them in what they need - without raising my voice or pushing - and has begun to see Dominance as a mental thing rather than a physical one. How about you?

I have always been attracted to dominants who have the whole quiet authority thing going on so in public they often would assert their authority over me with a softly spoken "I don't think so" or I would feel a guiding hand in my back when I had spent too long looking at shoes (and yes I know it is an oxymoron, how can you spend too long looking at shoes).

Yes, I do. It doesn't mean that I'm barking orders or attempting to Dominate those who don't belong to Me. It's more the look in the eyes, the turn of the smile, and the tones that I use in My voice when I'm dealing with My boy. The underlying authority doesn't change because we walk out the front door. It's always there, whether people pick up on it or not.

He says "No, do not get the peach pie ice cream, pick one with chocolate". Isn't that terrible, he orders me around in public. And I'm flatly forbidden to get the berry fudge ripple that the kidlet's ex girlfriend was so fond of even though it does have some chocolate in it.

He will pat His own arm, meaning I should hold onto it. When we are walking together, He will sometimes hold me by the back of the neck and steer me. It is subtle- no one else can see- and it gives me butterflies in my stomach. Fun! He indicates where I should sit in a restaurant. He holds my hand. A lift of His eyebrow will immediately shut me up. -just a few off the top of my head.
