Clear fluid from "around" your nipples, or clear fluid from the tips? If around your nipples, it is more likely that that you have a suction injury that is leaking lymph fluid (same as if you skinned your knee and got clear fluid before, or instead of, blood). If from multiple openings at the tips of your nipples (your nipple has numerous openings at the end, not just one, as many people believe), then it may or may not also be lymph fluid. It is not very common to be able to produce milk from suction alone, but the protocol usually includes some hormonal adjustments (whether man-made or herbal). Suction for induced lactation usually starts with minutes, not hours, which leads me to think it's more likely an injury (which should heal fine). If you're concerned, or something doesn't heal, see your doctor. If you're embarrassed to tell your doctor, just remember the phrase "we got a little carried away". Cali
