I see a lot of my childhood religious experience in it, even tho mine was tamer...not a pleasant reality thanks very much.

It was recommended to me yesterday by YouTube so I thought it was new. I didn't check the date. And I haven't been watching this show recently because I have to pay for all these other movie channels I don't want to watch him and it would cost me $25 a month. I don't watch very many movies any more. Just as an aside I am sick of the hypocrisy too. I actually forgot about this but now it's coming back to me.

Yes the documentary Mike, I enjoyed Bill...mostly, her fem guest not so much.
I have to admit wondering how they felt when Obama was elected and the horrible, sick, feeling realising I would love to be have been a fly on the wall of a few living rooms of the "faithful" just for the fact that it was a democrat win.
Haggards prediction of evangelicals as a huge voter block made me squeak... ok that guy seriously gives me the heebie jeeebies and the creeping weebles.
Not wanting to upset any "christian" but certainly reinforces my feelings about religions

And Haggard was the one who was busted having a homosexual affair.  It was reeeaaallll interesting seeing him preach against homosexuality.

I just saw Jesus Camp last night on the BioHD channel, caught it by chance.  I knew about that side of fundamentalism, but it was different to see it on camera.

"Jesus Camp" is a textbook example of how to indoctrinate and brainwash. Those nutcases make the Duggars look reasonable.

The words "child abuse" first occured to me when one girls said how guilty she felt when she danced "for the flesh," and not for Jesus. How sad, I thought, that an eleven year old girl should be made to feel guilty for simply enjoying dance for it's own sake.

I particularly feel sad for the dark haired girl (I forgot her name) who was a major focus of the film. She had such a spark, an inate intelligence - it's a shame to see that forced into such a narrow mode. Still, there's always the chance that she or some of the others may break free as they get older. One can only hope.

We probably agree on more than you realize; and you'll always find me opposed to group think - one of the most dangerous forces in the world.

Well again I will agree with you...group think is indeed dangerous...but sometimes groupthink is so just because its common sense...lol
