This is a quote from the president of Coalition to Protect Patients’ Rights a right wing lobbying group on why the Health Reform Bill needs to be killed

PALMISANO: If you have a problem, you would just say ‘look I have a financial problem, can you help me’ and doctors will help you. If somebody couldn’t pay, we just send them a note, ‘you haven’t paid, is there a reason you can’t pay?’ All they have to do is give us any reason and we just wrote off the bill, forgot the bill. That’s what doctors do.

So all we have to do is say we can't afford our medical expenses and everyone drops their charges according to this guy, represent the insurance industry and GOP leaders

No, tazzy. This is a part of the problem. It's not all of the problem, but there is a significant number there regarding unpaid bills.
