"Daddy" mostly.  His name when we are around 'nilla folk.  A private name that no one else knows when we are alone.

Not all of these are my preferences, just ones i've heard or seen:
Sir/Ma'am, Master/Mistress, Lord/Lady, Daddy/Mommy, Papa/Momma, Sire, etc.
A lot of British old world titles are used as well. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forms_of_address_in_the_United_Kingdom)

I call him, Master, Daddy. I sometimes call him his given name when speaking about him to family, but usually just say, "he's at work" and they know who i mean. I've accidently yelled out, "Master, look!" in public before lol.

When I am talking to him, I call him Daddy or Sir, depending on the occasion.  When talking about him, I call him His Evilness or The Evil One, Max or The Owners.  I am never allowed to use his given name unless I am introducing him to someone in a professional capacity.  My family all know him as Max.

I've always been partial to Master, and so that is what I call him. Though 'babe' slips in whenever we're just holding a regular, non D/s conversation. To the vanilla world, I call him his name.

I usually use My Lord if we're in that type of dynamic at the moment...in vanilla settings I use Handsome or just his given name. I have been testing out how it feels to call him "Master" and I am having a hard time verbalizing that. Sir I can do, but that's not the correct feeling for me.

i call him Daddy, or Big Daddy (mama asked me what pet name i called him and i told her that, too, in case i ever slip), or sometimes EEEEEvil Daddy or "sick bastard" or Darth Winkie (no, honestly, he plays that up.  its just WRONG i tell you!)

Being that we have children, we live most of our lives "normally" so we call each other by our given names or preferred nick names. I do call him "my love" or "honey" even, and he has a special nick-name he made up just for me. Its not inappropriate so he'll call me that any time he wants to get my attention in his "Dom-type" way.

When it comes to my terms of respect for him, "Master" is pretty much the only one I use at the moment. I hope to come up with another that I could use since he has so many sweet ways to refer to me as his "pet".

I can't call him "Sir" because, to me, it just doesn't hold enough authority. I used to work in the retail business and every customer is 'Sir'.

Being that I called my father "daddy" as a kid and I'm not into incest - I cannot even UNDERSTAND how some people can refer to their sexual partner by that name. The thought seriously disgusts me. My father and my step-fathers are the LAST people I want to think about while I'm having sex. Using 'Daddy-*insert name here*' or just plain 'Daddy' as a pet name has always blown my mind. I had been thinking about bringing it up in a thread here in order to find out why people do it, actually....

This never occurred to me until I read this, but perhaps that is why I have never been able to consider calling my Doms 'Sir'. Most of my job experiences have been in customer service, and I'm on my 5th year of retail, and yes, everyone is either 'Sir' or 'Ma'am'.

When we are out with people or have guests, i call Him by His given name, Charles; when we are in private, i address Him as Sir, my love, my Beloved, my Darling, Master or Master Charles. When i am in a silly mood or feeling cheeky and affectionate, i call Him Buttonsy Charles (the adjective "buttonsy" is katey-speak for lovely, endearing, etc...), Snickerdoodle-beard, as His beard honestly smells lovely like snickerdoodles (Mmmmm...)

He actually thought up "Captain Cookie-Beard the dread pirate who doesn't inspire awe, but inspires 'awwww....'" as a variant on the whole Snickerdoodle-Beard thing, and i've only called Him this and written it on His Facebook page, on Halloween, when He donned a pirate costume :)

Well Aquatic you are certainly on the right path. When a sub screams "You fucking bastard" at me with total desparation. I do know i have her right where i want her. And my reaction is normally to remain rather calm while looking at her. Maybe just touching her places which will make her repeat it if i do stop again. That enormous sense of power which goes through me is absolute intoxicating. Only really beaten by the total satisfaction when i push her over the top. Outside the scene i don't care much what she calls me. But something sweet and respectfull always goes down well. Master sounds to pretentious and my name sounds so unimaginative. Dom is very cloose to stupid in my language so that is out. I did overhear one once using "my drug" to a friend and that went straight home.

me too...but there are always lines we do not cross. They may be fine, thin, nearly invisible lines, but lines nonetheless!


Yes. And those lines involve his computer. I couldn't be with a man who took himself so seriously he'd actually be upset if I called him bastard during a scene. He just grins evily, says "Damn right bitch" and goes back to doing what he was doing. Except harder.

I see how some people find it disrespectful but it's just not in our dynamic. Ours is built on extreme playfulness.

i'll admit, it was "off" to me too, at first.  i WAS molested by my father, and i really cant stand to be in his company (but have to occasionally to visit with mama).

but its different with TheEngineer.  its not so much "i'm your father" other than when we're just playing around and being stupid winding down before sleep.  its "i'm the person who cherishes you and keeps you safe and loved" and that i can do, easily.

its two different things in my mind.  my father is the one who lives with mama, and Daddy is the one who takes care of me.
