I love funny acronyms, so here are a few I like....
Windows: Will Install Needless Data On Whole System
PCM/CIA: People Can't Memorise Computer Industry Acronyms

Ha;

Scanners and some cameras use what's called TWAIN software in the PC to "acquire" images.

It actually does stand for

Technology Without An Interesting Name.

people putting together their own websites may be ofey with the acronym
WYSIWYG
(What you see is what you get)
This applies to soft ware which translates your drawing out of boxes and text into HTML.
however, knowing several "Professional" netters, I can assure you the industry standard is..
