FR, after read thru Hmmmmmmm. I've ruminated a little & have decided I've the delusion I might offer something helpful, so here goes . . . . & the following are mostly offered as thought questions & perspectives for your contemplation, Steele. The answers matter far more to you than me, is how I tend to see what I'm gonna offer up. What were your expectations about participating on these message boards? If you're unsatisfied, frustrated, or otherwise unhappy, your expectations are one of the most direct fixes around . . . . . I want to offer you my services as a mirror, for a brief moment: I've experienced you as being very 'proselytizing' on these boards. Arguing your points quite vociferously, attempting to persuade people to this or that. I'm personally not surprised you may be feeling a little burn-out, given the kinda white-knight, rescuer, persuader thing you've been doing -- that stuff is exhausting. I know from first-hand on that . . . . One of the tricks to being a successful, & not burnt-out, knight-in-shinin'-armor is to pick one's dragons very very carefully . . . . [;)]

It got so extreme that I blocked his posts from my view during the past month - but then I suspect he had mine blocked for much longer. I admire dedication to a cause, but anti thumpers are as bad as thumpers.

Who is this? I have no idea what just happened. Only that this is the Internet. I liked his posts. But then I hang in casual banter so maybe I missed the big fight. So dude leaves over 1 or 2 bad apples where as a bunch enjoyed him hanging out. Which brings me back to that this is the internet. I hope you come back... tho if not- the net will continue on- all that is good about it- and all that is freaking annoying about it. Words on a screen. Man. Talk about how life has reduced down.

Okay, so i have been reading this thread since Master put it up. i was getting mad for awhile but Master said to let it go. Today when i told him what happened with making a post under his name and this this getting said He told me if i wanted i could clear this all up for you. Anytime you all think you have been seeing Master it has been me. i don't log him out when i get on. Sir was serious when He said He was done. It has nothing to do with someone He didn't like, it doesn't have anything to do with an argument or Him wanting to be the center of attention. it is just He is done with being an active member of CollarMe. He feels He has more important things to do then rake the boards looking for intellegent conversation. Our home life has taken a change and He wants to dedicate His time to that and has gotten bored with the threads and as a common curtosey decided to leave a note that he was done so those who gave a damn about what was going on would not just wonder why he disappeared. what is really sad is the people who have came in with the snide remarks who neither of us knew felt the way they felt. If you didn't like Him why not just block Him? Why wait till he is leaving to tell him how you felt? Rule, no Master never blocked You actually he usually enjoyed Your posts. Music, I am passing along this message out of hope that perhaps You are mistaken but Master was confused about your comments because as far as He says He knew You guys never had an issue with each other and He certainly doesn't hold any ill will against You. To any and everyone else who thinks this is some kind of attention getting thing? i just don't get that, Master isn't anything like that. It kind of really upsets me that He would try to let you all know He was leaving and some of you would kick Him for it. andi

Was it really necessary to come in here and disparage the intelligence of the Collarme posters? I would apologize for boring you, but I don't think I spoke to Steel very often myself and he, as far as I know, never wrote a thread about the lack of intelligent conversation or how bored he was. Sauce, goose, gander and all that. A lot of folks wrote to say they were sorry to see him leave, put you only respond to the minority few who were less than enthusiastic. Telling for someone who's not interested in drama or attention. It would be nice if, rather than flounce out spitting at those who choose to stay, you would have allowed him a little dignity, grateful for what, if anything, he's learned here. Perhaps a thank you to the folks he liked and met or even appreciative of the opportunity he had to share a bit of himself and his family. Nice way to taint, there, andi. Your Master told you to just 'let it go.' That was excellent advice. Too bad you didn't take it as such.

Short, curt OPs are a great route to getting a whole spectra of responses. More explanation, especially from a guy who generally wrote many-multi-paragraph posts, might have elicited a differently skewed set of responses. & 'done' is a pretty final word, so the title of the thread was pretty ominous to start with -- ie, kinda dramatic . ... . Ya work with what ya got. Don't give the posters much to work with & expect to get responses all over the place .... . Frankly, it feels kinda manipulative. Post the cryptic OP, wait for whatever shows up, & then take offense at the negative ones . . .. . I'd a thought Steel was a bit more savvy about how these particular message boards operate & what kinda things get what kinda responses . . .. & I am endlessly amused by those who want to play both the 'I know stuff' cards & the 'I had no idea' card, selectively, as suits . .. . .
