If finding freedom within religion does not at least partially explain why you choose to believe, please feel free to express why you choose to believe.

Now that is flying horse hockey. If mother earth existed she would have eradicated mankind as a pest eons ago. I don't know why I click on these links. They full of hypothetical horseshit no matter which way you look at it.

If you want me to be tolerant of someone's religious beliefs then why do I have to tolerate them trying to "convert" me or anyone else?

You seem to spend an inordinate amount of time attempting to convert people to your way of thinking, rule. I don't see much difference.

Well, I am supportive of the belief in God, though I am not a Christian, or Muslim, for what I see with this religion, is the art that has been produced and kept over the centuries. Be it the church or Mosque, they bear witness to the best that man can create in terms of artisanship. The people that created these fine works did so because of their love for their God, they sacrificed their skills in tribute to their god, what better use can craftsmanship be put than to be an edifice for people present and future to marvel at, the creativity of the human hand. Hmmm, the Vatican, now there is a different thought, for they commisioned the best of art to keep largely behind closed doors, for the delight of the few, the allowed, I would have more respect for the Vatican, if it threw open all it's doors to everyone, including it's libraries and vaults of pillaged goods for the benefit of the whole of mankind. Catholicism, I always took to be worship of the church, not God. The other thing of course, the worship of God, stops many old buildings becoming housing estates, industrial estates or golf courses, but golf courses at least have the delightful advantage, that they maintain green in a sea of brick and concrete.
