I have been thinking about him a great deal and wondering why he has not been around to answer my e-mails and IMs. I am so very happy for him… He deserves this transplant. If anyone speaks to him, please let him know I am thinking of him.

Edit to add: Perhaps we could offer some thoughts of gratitude for the donor and their family.

i'm thankful and filled with joy that Snappy Kappy got the transplant. 
 
i'm thankful for all the Veterans who have served over the years.
 
i'm thankful for the family of the donor - condolences on their loss.

P.S. This is a fine example of why I firmly believe in donorship, and why I have the special red dot on My driver's license and the discussions already had with My family, just in case, yanno. Blessings also to the family of the donor, and a special place in Heaven to the donor himself.

"Hello,

I'm Thomas Kappler's care giver for his lung transplant.

In the very early hours, Nov. 9th, Monday he received his transplant.  We were pleasantly surprized to find out that he only needed a single lung transplant.

He was in critical condition through out Monday.  The doctor said he would keep him sedated for 3 days so they could leave him intibated *on a resperator* so his body could have a break from having to work so hard to deliver the limited amount of oxygen to his body.

It was a rough couple of days but they removed it this morning.

He's now on oral pain meds only which are doing away with the pain well.

They got him out of bed to sit in a chair early this afternoon.  After about an hour they got him up and walking.

Monday they'd said he was doing 'surprisingly, remarkably well!

I will send updates when possible.

Please, continue to send your prayers and for those of you that know how to, send loving and healing energy.

This is wonderful news and an example of the benefits of a positive approach, Kappy always said it wouldn't get him. Heres wishes for a complete recovery and return to his life as lived and loved.

I have a funny story about Kappy. 

I was on a computer that my sister had evidently been on before me - she hadn't signed out of her CM account.  Well, I pulled up CM, and there was mail there - from Kappy.  I opened it (cause I thought it was MY account and a lot of the same people were emailing us both as it turns out) and thought well... hmmm *scratched my head*  I don't remember saying THAT to him... hmmm... and then I looked.  Oh heck!  So I logged out of my sister's account, and into mine, and there was AN EMAIL FROM KAPPY!!!

So, happy trails buddy... get your bum on back here so we can harass you!
