FelinePersuasion -> What to wrap rubber toys in (3/10/2006 3:25:44 PM)

When I ordered two of my toys I failed to notice one of them was jelly ansd one of them was rubber, so yeah saftey issues aside I know they off gas no need to rehash that.

What is the best thing to wrao them in so they don't get covered in shit. less than two minutes out of their package I notice they already have dog hair on them since tons of it is floating about, and I want to wrap them. they're kind of big and kind of tall other wise I'd just say a ziplock right?

Yes, I found that to be a big negative in having rubber or jelly/silicone toys. I'm not sure what the answer is, since the ones I have fit in ziplock bags.

You might want to look for a plastic food container (like the kind you keep leftovers in), or an appropriately lined cosmetic bag.

I left a soft dildo and a jelly strappie together in a zip lock bag, (two items that because of their size weren't comfortable for My sub so we never used them).

When I went back for them several months later and pulled them out of the trunk in the closet they had melted down, and the zip lock bag and both items were a solid mass. The glob was dry and didn't stick to anything else, but something in the chemical compounds of the gasses, I guess, made them all bind together.

lolol

expensive garbage that day....

A pillow case works well. Maybe an old handbag or carry on?

Hee hee.. just don't ever wrap/lay a toy on a magazine or newspaper.

You'll be readin' the headlines for months! [;)]

I personally found the wrapping of my toys in wash clothes or hand towels. And then perhaps in what ever opened aired bag or container. It keeps them clean, and able to maintain "fresh air" about them. So no worries of melting and gases. Depending on the size... wash clothes... or like I said.. hand towel. It also allows to have either or handy if needed right there with you if needed... <smiles>

I think the fibers in handcloths would stick to the materials. I found a silicone dildo that had been missing an I washed it and with in two seconds or less fibers and dust and air shit was all over it lol.

What about a rubbermaid container? kinda breathy but keeps the hair out :)

I don't think it allows it to breath good enough.. can get hot enough in there to cause melting too.

how about a mesh garmet bag, the bags are dense enough to stop stuff from tangling and stuff but they breath?

windy135 -> RE: What to wrap rubber toys in (3/12/2006 8:24:01 AM)

good point truesub4u. What about keeping them in a big freezer in the basement.. I don't own any rubber toys so I have no idea :)

ownedgirlie -> RE: What to wrap rubber toys in (3/12/2006 8:30:37 AM)

In the freezer!!! BRRRRRRR....that would certainly make for a shivering experience!

windy135 -> RE: What to wrap rubber toys in (3/12/2006 8:37:04 AM)

lol yes I guess it would be hassel to have to take them out to thaw before use... haha

ownedgirlie -> RE: What to wrap rubber toys in (3/12/2006 8:45:50 AM)

LMAO yep, you might melt them in the microwave under "thaw" and then you're back to the same problem, of overheating them!!

i like the "cloth" idea. You can get a pack of kitchen linens - 5 for a dollar, at your local grocery store. Nice idea.

Yes, truesub, after the melting glob episode I resorted to handtowels that keep the items wrapped, then those are placed in a zipping canvas bag that breathes. Still, the cotton fibers from the handtowels can be a pain to wash off because they tend to stick even with a good liquid soap.

I use Nolvasan to disinfect these toys, then air dry them, then wrap in the towels for storage.

Anyone comes up w/a better method I'll be tickled to read about it.

So them melting in that chest, does that mean I can't keep them in a little suitcase? I bought the suitcase just to hold my sex toys
