The pet names thread got me to thinking about what Himself calls me when I'm not living up to his expectations. ::rare, but true!:: Any sentence which starts with.. "My darling slave..".. means I am about to have some sort of 'discussion' about some sort of behavior or deed done or undone. The biggest trubles always come after Master has called out my first, middle and last name.. in that order. That's when I wince and wonder.

Of course, he's also got that mind fuck going on where he will bellow that full name .. I'll run in there, usually breaking out into a sweat.. and he'll just say something like.. "Give me a kiss, woman." lol

Tone, inflection... and of course, my own knowledge of what I've been up to at any given time generally lets me know if I have cause to worry when he gets either really, really sweet... like 'darling slave'.. or he's growling.

For all the submissive gentlemen and ladies, all the slaves, bottoms as well if it pertains to you ... do you know when you've done something or not done something to garner negative attention? Can you tell when you're in a bita truble? What are the sure signs that there's some sort of action ::whether it's discussion, spanking.. what have you:: about to come up?

Celeste

I know i'm in trouble when He calls me by my full first name rather than my nick name.

When I named my children, before I actually did it, I stood out on the back porch, and pretended I was pissed off, and hollered the formal name at the top of my lungs, like the neighborhood could hear it.

It had to have the property of being impossible to do that effectively.

Gawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwd! I hated that.

For my partners it's the standard "When they get quiet is when things are really bad" reaction. For me I get shrill and curse.

I know that my owner is feeling in a good mood he'll call me girl (contrary to the other thread it doesn't mean anything about daddy/little girl), slave, little girl, little slave.

If he's pissed he either sometimes will get into what I call lecture mode or he'll just not say anything. I also have a bad tendency of saying nothing when I get upset.

So when we both get upset its like one of those Conan O'Brien staring contests.

He would call me " Missy" or Miss with my last name after it. He knew these were two terms, I did not like and would get my attention fast.

It's not so much what he calls me but the sarcastic remark that he shoots off when irritated, which gives it away. That is always my "ut oh" moment.

LOL my ex used to use "sweety" only when he was very annoyed but trying to control himself and not make a big deal out of it. It would always make my mistress and myself giggle since he did it automatically and ONLY used the term when he was annoyed and trying not to sound like it.

If he calls me "my dear", I'm gonna get a talking to. If he calls me by my full name, I know that sitting in class tomorrow is gonna be hell. When he's simply annoyed, he calls me by my shortened first and middle names... I hate it!

He usually calls me by my first and middle name... so it's all in the inflection of his voice that I know if it is called in a loving way or in anger.

All it takes is a look and I know if I have said or done (or not done) something. That one look can be crushing. His tone of voice can be just as attention getting.

I know I have pissed off my husband when he picks up the phone and says "That is it! I'm calling Knight!" needless to say I start to listen in a hurry *ss*

Greetings,
A good indicator for me, is the tone of voice. Also, he will shorten my nickname, babygirl, to just, girl.

tali thanks her Master for His guidance, but mostly for His collar.
