Carried over from another post...

A very cute person here made the statement that Strap On for money is illegal in the United States.  That's not entirely true.  It depends on the location and how they define prostitution and how they define sex.

Many states and municipalities have vice laws that are more than 70 years old, and the result is that penetration of a male by a female just wasn't considered. There is no oral/genital or genital/genital contact, and if the woman providing the service stays dressed, it's in the same category as a lap dance.  Really.  The laws vary, but the end result is that in most places it's not clear.

Also, most vice cops really don't care about busting strap on providers.  Since there isn't the spread of disease (clean toys, no intercourse or oral contact), and because it's usually not a service provided by sex slaves or illegals-- it's really, really low on the radar.

I think you would have a really hard time arguing in court that fucking a guy with a strap on isn't really sex and therefore can't be considered prostitution if you're paid to do so.

Sex is ever so much more than insert penis into vagina.  My female slave and I certainly have sex, and the only penis I have is of the strap on variety.

I think trying to deny that strap on sex isn't really sex therefore you aren't prostituting yourself if your getting paid to do it is nonsense - if you're going to engage in sex acts for money, that's fine, but own it and don't play semantics games.

Lockit -> RE: Legality of Strap On (11/12/2009 4:20:47 PM)

I've worked with a lot of cops and I never heard one on vice say that it was the diseases that motivated their bust's. lol

Shoving shit up someone's butt would be considered an assualt or sexual activity and for money... sorry... it is prostitution. Easy fix here, we don't have to argue... call the cops in your area and ask them. lol

howahkan -> RE: Legality of Strap On (11/12/2009 4:21:29 PM)

I have to say I admire your boldness of enterprise.  I like a lady with a nice stiff one myself.  I can only guess what the Domme's will think.  Good luck...

Added on:
Wow, before I could write this two people posted.  I fear this may be ugly.

I agree with the spirit of your words, especially your last paragraph. It is true however that the precise wording of prostitution laws varies greatly from state to state within the US. Some states define "sexual intercourse" in a very restrictive way. Other states outlaw all sale of "sexual services". Given the rise of massage parlors, escort services, commercial dominance services and other attempts to evade prostitution laws, the trend has been for the law to define prostitution in broad, general terms.

Of course, what is legally permissible, what is morally acceptable, and what is emotionally acceptable to a particular person are three different things. The laws of a particular jurisdiction will determine the first. The other two questions are things we all have to decide for ourselves

Nothing wrong with a stiffy up a butt... just don't include cops if you are charging money for it. lol

Think positive Howahkan... lol

Prostitution is legal in some states and/or municipalities in the U.S.

Lockit -> RE: Legality of Strap On (11/12/2009 4:30:25 PM)

Some places, prostitution is legal... true.

But... any man who has asked me to put something up his butt... was thinking sexual. Calling something for what it is... is something I will stick with. lol They don't call it butt fucking for nothing. And if it is for cold hard cash... guess what...

In fairness the OP is in Vegas. It might fly in NV. Who knows? I heard that what happens there stays there.

Lockit -> RE: Legality of Strap On (11/12/2009 4:37:35 PM)

Even in Vegas... there are area's that prostitution is legal and area's where it isn't and strict guidelines/laws.

CherokeeRose2 -> RE: Legality of Strap On (11/12/2009 4:37:55 PM)

It's my understanding that Vegas itself is strict about not allowing prostitution.   It is legal in other areas of Nevada under fairly tight regulation though.

That doesn't mean there's no prostitution in Vegas, of course.

I lived there (LV) and I can tell you, if it's not in the brothels in Pahrump or the Bunny Ranch by Reno the cops are NOT OK with it.   Trust me on this one...

Lockit -> RE: Legality of Strap On (11/12/2009 4:40:32 PM)

Damn... sounds like a story there! Too bad it stays in Vegas! lol

The legislature of Rhode Island outlawed prostitution just a few weeks ago. That leaves some counties of Nevada as the only US jurisdictions in which prostitution is lawful. Even in those counties, it is legally restricted in a variety of ways. The previous legality of prostitution in the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations (the official name of the state) was an unintended result of a 1980 law. The law was intended to reduce the crime from felony to misdemeanor. Sloppy wording instead had the result of making prostitution legal, as long as it was performed indoors.

I am going to side with MissAnnaBellee on this one.  CelticSubM said it best.  Precise words and definitions are of vital importance.

The law recently passed to ban prostitution in Rhode Island leaves no room for doubt. "'Sexual conduct' means sexual intercourse, cunnilingus, fellatio, anal intercourse, and digital intrusion or intrusion by any object into the genital opening or anal opening of another person's body, or the stimulation by hand of another's genitals for the purposes of arousing or gratifying the sexual desire of either person." I suspect other states have similar laws.

LadyPact -> RE: Legality of Strap On (11/12/2009 5:55:59 PM)

Since I currently live in CA, I researched it in that state.  Wasn't difficult to find at all.

California's Prostitution Laws

California Penal Code §647(b) punishes those who solicit, agree to participate or actually do participate in prostitution. Prostitution is defined as any "lewd act between persons for money or other consideration." This means that something other than money may be exchanged for the sex act. You agree to participate in prostitution at the point you accept the offer or solicitation to engage in the act. This acceptance does not have to be verbal. It can be an action, such as a wink or head nod, that signifies your acceptance of the offer.

Sounds like it's not legal here.
