I just found out that, in the currently proposed health care plan....Congress has officially excluded themselves from the plan.

UNFUCKINGACCEPTABLE!!!!!!

NO!

This is inordinately fucked up.  The feds are going to push national health care on you and I (which I support...as a business man you may find that odd....but I support national health care).

But...Congress has already mandated....in the bill....they get something different....(something {much} better).

You understand that Congress has also exempted themselves from the free market in health insurance; their health plan is paid for by the American taxpayers.

Their reason for opting out of Obamacare is probably for the dame reason they opted out of the capitalist system; namely, they like to have other people pay for their benefits.

why should they include themselves? they get ALL their health care for the rest of their lives, some for only serving one term, for free courtesy of the U.S. Taxpayer!!! I was promised free health care for life if I served 20 years in the Army. I did and now I have to pay a $3000 annual deductable. Not as bad as civilians but not what I was promised

So what is new. They have also excluded themselves from all labor laws. They pay no social security taxes ( they leave office very wealthy, both parties ). They are not for the folks, they are for themselves.

haha, fuck yeah lookie, we can only blame ourselves for the incompetence of congress, since we're the ones that hired them, and when more americans vote for american idol then the american president, it's no wonder we have ineffective boobs on both sides of the isle fucking it up for every body.It's our job to take responsibility for Our Government, and when I see "millions"(according to faux news hehe) of the vast un washed bitch'n and moan'n bout how the American tax payer is gonna split the bill on some thing that is actually beneficial to us( the idea of socialized medicine,for fuck sake the rest of the developed world has it) and fain interest with the real problems(the wasteful bureaucratic mess of trying to appease both the current corrupt cancerous medical behemoth we have now and what Americans really need, which is an operation to stop the economic bleeding of our middle class that has been growing unchecked for the past thirty years). It makes me wonder if america is still worth dream'n in, we're gluttonous indifferent uneducated scared ignoramuses, complaining at the mess we've been making and we're un willing to stop the finger pointing long nuff to agree on what America really fucking needs and how we need to do it...hmmm,I wonder how canada is this time of year?

That's a myth about the Social Security taxes:

Prior to 1984, neither Members of Congress nor any other federal civil service employee paid Social Security taxes. Of course, the were also not eligible to receive Social Security benefits. Members of Congress and other federal employees were instead covered by a separate pension plan called the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS). The 1983 amendments to the Social Security Act required federal employees first hired after 1983 to participate in Social Security. These amendments also required all Members of Congress to participate in Social Security as of January 1, 1984, regardless of when they first entered Congress. Because the CSRS was not designed to coordinate with Social Security, Congress directed the development of a new retirement plan for federal workers. The result was the Federal Employees' Retirement System Act of 1986.

Members of Congress receive retirement and health benefits under the same plans available to other federal employees. They become vested after five years of full participation.

I think the biggest problem is each side blaming the other. All of the politicians suck. Both sides. Once the public can grasp that concept and vote all of them out, there will never be a difference. At this point, we have absolutely nothing to lose by voting in a third party. They certainly can't do any worse than the big two.
