Knowing that she  (the OP) behaves badly by her opening post is an obvious.

Insinuating she has a drinking problem is just plain rude and an assuption that is without merit.

The "leave it to you" was my response to many of Des rude assumptions in that past that I have witnessed here.  But I am not part of the click so I am sure I will get flamed by the "subs from Hell"  that rule the forum

i agree that the assumption about drinking was uncalled for, and i sincerely hope you do not get flamed.

People have bitched about clicks here on the CM forums as long as I've been on here and I've never seen them. Hey maybe I'm in it and I don't even know it!

Seriously though, some people are just more abrasive than others. In the years I've been on the boards, I haven't seen any clicks. I've seen loose groups of people who are friendly with each other because we post a lot and get along. These groups change and shift constantly. And it's hard to be friendly with someone who is shouting "I'M NOT IN THE GROUP - EVERYBODY HATES ME!". Not exactly the person you want to have over to tea you know? That whole
"self-fulfilling prophecy" thing.

As for Des... her comment can be taken as out of line. I personally didn't have a problem with it but I can see how someone else could. Your response, however, made you no better. You could have easily, and politely, asked "That seems a bit out of line - what makes you say that?".

using fast reply...

Could, maybe, would, might, was it.........what one reads as a simple personal opinion another reads as abrasive another gets their testosterone or estrogen fueled panties in a bunch over and it's all really ridiculous.

As far as hand signals, I can actually see how having a few set ones would be VERY useful. Hell, my daily vanilla life has them. Spend any amount of time in a noisy work environment and they will be created. Even at home I've used them. One of us is mowing on the tractor... a signal for "do you want a drink of water?" or "dinner is ready" or "phone call"........etc.
