It's strange but Clinton *did* seem to get more done after the Republicans were swept into the House and Senate in the midterm elections.
Personally, and I'm sure I'm not alone on this, I'd like to see Pelosi and Reid gone and soon! They're certainly not "uniters."
I think President Obama needs to start making the "Changes" he promised us too!
Get us out of "NAFTA", GATT, cut way back on trade with China.
Start enforcing our immigration laws like he's *supposed* to be doing and that Clinton and Bush ignored.
Close that Mexican border.
End foreign aid.
Cut the State Dept in half.
Do away with the Energy and Education Depts.
Get our Troops out of Iraq, Afganistan, S. Korea, Germany.
When we have such high trade and budget deficits we simply *cannot afford* such things.
We need a balanced budget that *starts paying down the debt*. We can't continue to spend money that doesn't exist.
So far it looks like "Bush's third term." President Obama needs to get away from the Clinton and Bush policies and have some NEW ones.
All the above would be a great start!
How come big corporations always seem to do well no matter who's in office and "The People" be damned?
He never should have bailed out big corporations with our Taxdollars! We have "Bankruptcy Laws" in place just for such occaisions.
It's not about "keeping wealthy people wealthy!"
Unless President Obama forsakes Bush's and Clinton's policies he's going to get into big trouble! They are simply not sustainable.
