HI there...

I read a book a while back; SOUL PURPOSE where part of it was to think carefully about your
top
3 VALUES in life and then 5 more..for 8..Your value system.

.AND then from that you approach issues..decisions etc from those VALUES..(* some ppl do this anyway I know)

Such as if you value...say..FREEDOM,LOVE
You ask" IS this decision taking me to.contibuting to FREEDOM?...love?" OR away from it...?"

WHAT ARE YOUR 8 VALUES?

1. Personal integrity - including honesty with self and with others.

2. Authenticity - seeking self in others and others in self, not judging until someone else's perspective is considered.

3. Humanity - understanding that everyone needs acceptance, understanding, kindness and love and this is what motivates them the most.

4. Loyalty - to myself, to my ideas and objectives, to the other people in my life.

5. Care - maintaining an equilibrium of wellbeing through positive choices made for physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.

6. Work - undertaking to do things which bring benefits for myself and other people, the community I live in, and society.

7. Interaction - connected with 2. relating to other people and myself in ways so as to fulfill needs, wants and desires, to work towards happiness, friendship and love with others and myself and to understand the connection between the needs, wants and desires and my own and the relationship between the two.

8. Acceptance - accepting imperfection in self and others as an integral part of life and living.

Wow I had to think about this. It took me back years to something I asked to be. Thank you for the reminder.

Create...........I am lost if I cannot have some artistic activity always brewing
Growth..........I want my entire life to be spent growing and learning
Inspire...........I want to contribute positively in my time on this hunk of rock, not just take.
Heal..............Not something I can easily explain but it ties in with the rest.
Love.............Always this and far more than the shallow lust love that most think of. It is a word that for me, holds great power.
Nature..........To always have it near, add to it, never destroy, live with it.
Lead.............Also ties in with much of the above. By example or those inspired to be lead.
Enlighten.......Still again, part of the above. Use my quirky ways of looking at things to give others a glimpse of an alternative.

And I have to add a 9th that is VERY important to me, humility. Without it, it's easy to lose intent and get drunk on the attention the above can generate.

I really cannot take three of any of them and set them aside from the others. They are all too tied together.

Family
Health
Honesty
Integrity
Perseverence
Acceptance
Peace

The first three would me my most important three values.

Love
Compassion
Kindness
Integrity
Creativity
Authenticity
Personal Responsibility
and a new one for me:
Perseverance

There are other values that connect into some of them.
Off the top of my head:
Compassion -- healing
Kindness -- peace
Integrity -- honesty
Personal Responsibility -- justice
