The best "proofer" in the world is to sit down over a cup of coffee and talk.

I have changed my mind.  Instead of not existing, I want to be the Milli Vanilli of CM.

Is that okay with everyone?

Do you know the words?

[:D]

Hey you have hit on the perfect way to prove people here are fakes. If they know the words they must be fakes.

Seriously when I was looking (and I was very new at the time) I had loads of people contact me. I spent time chatting to people about general things as well as bdsm stuff. It was pretty easy to spot those that were only after cyber sex, those that were after a quick f**k and those that were probably genuine. In all the people I chatted to I only ever met 3. One was perfectly genuine but we did not click. One was very nice and we got along well but he was just not right. The other one we met to play and I haven't been able to get rid on him since. Nearly 6 years on it just gets better. So I guess the key is TALK to people. Jeesh it's not that hard.

It would be nice if Collarme set up an optional certification section in a profile where someone could submit proof of identification along with a photograph.

Of course the information such as passport or drivers license would be confidential and only “certified” would be displayed in the profile along with one certified photo displayed at the option of the profile owner.

Myself I see no reason for any proof…after all this is just fun and you can only fool someone for a short time. But if someone wanted to go to the extreme there would be an option.

Well unless CM sets up certification centers to check the documents for authenticy in each and every state and country you would have to trust that the scanned documents was genuine. For me that would be fun, but someone might wonder why Barack Obama was running around with a danish passport[:D]

Although OPs idea is foolish, the sheer number of fakes on this site is astounding...and the most common response for moaning about it in any form appears to be ridicule...when I put a search in the other side, ~50% of the profiles shown will be obvious fakes....wish the mods would just give me a delete profile button. Even if not me, it seems fairly obvious that the answer to this problem is to give more people the power to kick the fakes....yet it's been years, and nothing.

then 50% are real? I would say those are damn good odds!!!

NO-one, I repeat no-one, can fake my picture.
They can try taking it ... but I guarantee someone ain't gonna be who they say they are.

You're confusing 'real' with 'suitable' I think.

You're confusing 'real' with 'suitable' I think.
so you are saying someone suitable does not have to be real?

DCWoody -> RE: Prove -up who you are! (11/24/2009 1:41:41 PM)

I'm saying only having half a chance of someone actually existing before you even start sorting out whether there's any chance of a match is not 'good odds'.

We are all growing tired of all the fakes and liars credited to this site! Although there are a few people who genuinely seek another - they seem to grow few. Recently a woman we contacted asked us to provide to her a photo of us holding a sign with HER name written on it. What a GREAT IDEA we thought!

From now on anyone we contact - who cannot submit to us a photograph with our name on it will be Black Balled, and blocked!

All of you could help weed out the fakes, liars, pros, and scammers by insisting on a prove up yourself!

Ok. Save yourself some time and black ball and block me. I don't send additional photographs, period and end of story. If someone wants to me see me, I am more than happy to meet them at a local munch or play space where I feel comfortable. If going to one of those events is out of a person's way and would annoy them, we clearly wouldn't get along anyway since I love them.

i know...but for every fake, there is also a real person. Perhaps not a real person that you will mesh with, but real none the less.

Stay positive [:)]

He's made up a new profile, and based on the concentration of participation in this thread, started a new one !
