To download specifically go here:  http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/9485

It is, "A Little Book of Profitable Tales by Eugene Field"

This way no one has to go and buy a book, they can download it for free! [:)]

The third in the Moist series. . . Taxman, I think.  Although when I checked last night it is not out yet.  [>:]

Ok... I downloaded A Little Book of Profitable Tales

They are fairly short little stories, and fairly easy (and quick) to read.  I think we ought to read them from now until Christmas - the first couple are Christmas tales after all.

But for now, let's see if we can't read EZRA'S THANKSGIVIN' OUT WEST.  It's about the tenth or fifteenth one.  It is appropriate for this week, after all (at least here in the USA)...

I've set up a yahoo group for us to chat.

All members have to be approved.  Send me a c-mail me with your email address, and I'll invite you to the group.

*Mods if this is not ok, I apologize.

I say we make a commitment to read the story by the end of the week and discuss gratitude, our own Thanksgiving experience, etc.

Ohhh isn't this fun!  I had just started this as a joke, but it is quite a good idea.  And I love that I can interact with you all in another venue.

Hugs and such,
sunshine

Hello my darlings,
I have a book club suggestion.  I received a book for the holidays.  And it has me entranced.  It is a bestseller, and at the end of the book there are book club questions.

The book is "A Thousand Days in Venice" by Marlena DeBlasi.  It is like drinking the liquid silver of the moon.  I read a few pages before I sleep at night and write in my journal.  I would like to suggest that for the month of January we read this book, discuss it on the yahoo page (anyone else need to join the yahoo group?) and perhaps even have a one hour skype discussion.

What do you think?
