I can't resist parodies.....

There it stands, the casino,
moms inside, playing keno,
she's there night and day,
she can't stay away,
every week she drops another grand,

See my dad, roll the dice there,
with his luck, cold as ice there,
he's there night and day,
he can't stay away,
every week he drops anothe grand,

Yesterday the repossessed our taurus,
things are even worse for cousin horace,
beaten up by bookies he can't pay,

Christmas eve, theres no tree here,
folks are gone, its just me here,
they double their bets, as well as their debts,
every week they drop another grand.

This is my favorite version of this song. Everybody is just so... into it. You can't watch it without breaking out in a big grin.

This, however, is perhaps my favorite Christmas song of all. Suprised nobody's mentioned it yet.

Or this one, for that matter. Her clear, plaintive voice was made for Christmas, and she is missed.

Like, for example, on this song.

And this one.

Bing and Bowie's "Little Drummer Boy" is another favorite, and "Do They Know It's Christmas Time," of course. Andrea Bocceli's "Ave Maria" is probably my favorite version of that song. And lmost any well-rendered version of "Silent Night" moves me to a profound state of spiritual calm.

And how did this one not get mentioned yet?

I'm a traditionalist, and my favourite is probably O Holy Night, or Little Town of Bethlehem.  But I also have a definite fondness for Bob and Doug MacKenzie's Twelve Days of Christmas.  Oh, and I like Band Aid's Do They Know it's Christmas.  But I refuse to dig out the Christmas music till after Thanksgiving.

This version of "O Holy Night" always sends chills up my spine. His voice is amazing!

This is a favorite holiday music video, but I'm thankful I don't live near this house!

Hehe, just highlight a word or two or whatever and there's a little globe looking icon with a chain in front of it.  Click that and put the link in. :)

EDIT:  Because no one has mentioned this one yet.    Just can't help but smile and tap the toes.
