I gotta be honest folks. I've never been one to dismiss people with phrases like 'calling oneself' a slave or master or whatever. Well, that's not true. I have, but I'm trying to grow out of it, because I dont think this is right. I think if we need to get vicious with people, right or wrong, it shows a certain lack of security in our own beliefs. But on the topic, it's pretty straightforward. The more vulnerable you have the capacity to be, the more you'll learn to protect it where it's not safe. As a dominant the girl who falls on her knees and worships me when I walk through the door means nothing to me if she's going to do the exact same thing to the next guy who comes in behind me. You want real power exchange you have to be willing to go through the work of creating that safe place for them to express it. Just like if you want newbies to be respectful of old timers, you have to stop bashing them for being wrong and making them defensive.

My girl hasn't consented to involving other people in our d/s and I most certainly haven't consented to it. So if a random person demands she enter into a d/s dynamic with them or harasses her for not doing so, not only would I support her telling them off I would expect it. I have no problem with goreans having their lifestyle and interacting in that dynamic with other goreans. But when that dynamic is applied to other people non-consensually, that isn't OK and one shouldn't be terribly surprised when they aren't OK with it. edited to add: my post isn't in response to anything Orion said, sorry if the fast reply makes it seem that way.

Because they feel they "need" to be punished for a misbehaving in real life; or because someone has brainwashed them to believe that all that they deserve, is to be treated like shit, or to make "penance" for a "wrong doing".
