Status: offline 		I've always had a fantasy of being tied up, gagged and whipped with a bull whip 50 times all over my body.
I've been whipped with a single tail before and couldn't get by the second stroke before using my safe word.
My question is, should I try and fulfill my fantasy knowing that the result may not be as satisfing as my fantasy.
Taking 50 strokes with a bullwhip would be terribly painful and I'd probably have to take some days off work to recover.
But I just keep having these fantasies about being gagged and whipped. Should I just forget about it and leave it a fantasy?

Status: offline 		Personally, if I have doubts as to the safety of acting out a fantasy, or doubts as to how close the outcome would be to the fantasy, I choose to keep it a fantasy. My opinion...Why ruin it? YMMV.

If ones wishes to bring a fantasy to reality. Go for it. But like all things we go try.. work up to it. You said can't get past a 2nd stroke if a single tail.... looks like it will be awhile working ones way to 50 lashes with a bullwhip.. but getting there should be fun for you....

If you can get to 5 that will seem like 50. Somethings are best left as fantasy cause the reality isn't how you imagined it would be.

I did something very foolish not long ago. It was rather less interesting than I have imagined in fantasy land.

Better to work up to this slowly.

Status: offline 		Trying out your fantasy is a good thing. A few months ago, on CollarMe someone talked about her fantasy of being whipped to the blood. It got me thinking and a few weeks later we did a singletail scene that drew blood with every stroke.

But

Is 50 the real core of your fantasy or it is just "being whipped for a long time" or "being whipped with a lot of intensity" or something else?

You see, a good whip artist could whip you 50 times with a single tail and not leave a single mark but you'd only feel taps or that same artist could have you screaming on the first stroke.

The essence of seeking out your fantasy is to realize just what your fantasy really is.

There are a number of ways to safe'word' without speech. If I'm doing a bullwhip scene on someone, I like using the gag, but give them a nerfball to drop if they need to safe out for whatever reason.

I suppose your ability to endure this depends on the intensity of the strokes—though even when gently administered, fifty lashes with such an implement is nothing to take idly. This will hurt a lot. I'd be so tempted to give you 51 lashes, however. ;)

Status: offline 		Be sure your medical insurance is paid up and have a listing of the doctors and hospitals you want to use. 50 lashes with a bullwhip can KILL a person. In fact it wasn't uncommon in the old days for 30 lashes to kill or maim for life. I would suggest that you either revise this fantansy by removing the bullwhip and replacing it with something less dangerous or let it remain a fantasy that you never act on.

Status: offline 		Re: the OP...reality is so often different than fantasy. Master always has me write about something on the extreme side before administering it to me. When i write on it, i can put myself there (as much as i can), emotions and all, and explore it before diving in. It is during this investigation we can discover potential emotional triggers or problem areas that can be worked through before the actual event.

Even still, reality is rarely what you expected.

I think one of the reasons for a fantasy is that we don't have to live it out in reality, it just shows imagination. It is often said that those people who can't fantasize have to do the deal for real. Hmm I'm heading for a thesis here so I'll stop before I begin and have to cover myself for the pertinent points I can already hear rumbling in people's minds. Fantasy is fantasy and a fantasy that turns you on won't necessarily turn you on in reality. You more or less answered your own question.

One of my fantasies is to strangle an ex for many reasons and she deserves it but I won't because I don't want her laughing on the other side of the grave at me being locked up for the rest of my life. However, the fantasy is nice and does the job intended and I'll leave it at that.

Some other fantasies, you are damn right I am going to follow them up but they are fantasies that might corrupt and harm me but not in a way that my health will suffer nor cause anyone else to suffer (unduly *evil laugh*).

Status: offline 		Attempting to make fantasy a reality, i think, is wonderful. But when i do, i accept the fact that what goes on in my mind oftentimes can be much more extreme than what my body can actually take. So, i agree, work up to it slowly.

Also, yes an experienced whipper will be able to deliver strokes at any level. Communicating your desires, what is it you're really wanting to experience ultimately in the fantasy? Helplessness, ability to accept pain, subspace? i think if you look deeply into your fantasy for the ultimate pleasures and communicate them with your Dom/Master, then you may experience more success regardless of the number of strokes.

Does it have to be fifty times? If you go for less (five or ten) you'll end up less injured afterword and recovery will be swifter. Less lashes will probably be more satisfying as well if you're slightly afraid of the pain factor. If you give it a go on a Friday night, and take it a little easier than fifty violent lashes, you should be fine to go back to work on Monday. Then make sure your top proceeds with a firm, but careful hand, and you should be OK.
