Ok, IB - I must admit I think I have done pretty well keeping up with Aussie speak up till now but ...down the dunny? Okay, I KNOW what it must be - but you call it a dunny?
Ohhhhhh yes darling heart, Toiilets in Aussie are called Dunnies and the appropriate paper is also called Dunny Paper too.. We have a whol;e sub cultute of dunny humour too. Secondary use for dunny paper is to decorate the bridal car after a wedding, when pissed of, use multiple rolls and wrap parking meters and srom an SCA point od view, when attached to a rattan haft and the unused roll is duct taped, it makes an awsome mace.... Out back dunnies are usually situated at the far end of the home paddock and is reached by a bicycle with solid rubber tires and one need to sheck for snakes, goannas and redbacks (under the seat). It is an excelent place to sit, read the paper or a book andjust meditate but may be prone to demolition with a D8 Dozer or a stick of gellignite by some pissed off drunk. Some country pubs have a dunny on the building roof but drunks re warned to go to eclosed dunny and not what just looks like one in the open as that is really the air duct for the ceiling fans and the miss use of such may result in the clearing of the public bar and repainting of it in a brownish colour............................
