I rarely get bored, way too much on my plate these days. Yet I had some down time today & after reading/replying to boards...found myself slightly bored & signed into a chat room & harassed a few trolls.

i am rarely bored as i always have something going on. If i'm home and have down time i will come here and browse a bit. If i'm working on something and at home and need a break, i'll peek in here too...or call my sister...something like that. But with work, school, Master, and friends to get together with, boredom is a rarity!

Not just when I'm bored...but I come here.... and see what's going on.

Or...smiles.... read, sew my never ending stream of costumes, color with my little ones, or read with them. Gosh.... I guess i could keep going, but it would give a fine example of why I have unfinished project laying around...sighs

Ok... back to work. Come to think of it, as I go... I'd kinda like to be bored a little more often sometimes....grins

Cryptograms... lots of cryptograms.

If you are bored you could always pull up the carpet and watch the floor show.

Lately...I would give anything to make the claim that I was bored.

I was actually a little nervous clicking on this thread. I was thinking. . . oh dear, RiotGirl got bored, now what DID she DO?

Phew!!!!!!!!

I do not tend to get bored, especially if I am by myself. I do find that I get bored with people, especially if they are in a constant snarky mood.

Hmmm. . . actually had a conversation like that today. I did not say that I was bored with them, but I did snap in irritation of the constant stream of negative comments. This negativity was coupled with the "I enjoy spending time with you." I just wanted to hiss, "Well, I am glad ONE of us is having a good time."

But I was polite. Unfortunatly this negativity seems to be the MO for this person. I have not yet decided what to do about it. But it is boring the heck out of me.

But, back to the OP. If I feel bored, I just find something to do (usually involves reading a book), or if I am with others, I try to introduce the idea of "people watching," which is a fun thing for me.

Also for me, I was brought up with this senario. . .

Me: I am bored.
Parent: Find something to do.
Me: There is nothing to do (add whinny voice for 50% of time)
Parent: There are lots of things to do.
Me: I am bored, and there is nothing to do.
Parent: I can find you SOMETHING to do.
Me: *shuts up and finds something to do because it has GOT to be better than what THEY will find me to do.*

Anyway, I enjoyed my rant, and thank you, I needed it.

Best,

LaMalinche

hehehehe......... now that hardly ever fails... let a parent remotely hint they can help a kid not be bored... they by God will find something to do real quick... LOL

I am amazed that no one had pointed it out before.

True. . . the first time I said, "Okay, what?"

But I was an innocent. . . I did not understand *see my tears of pain*

I do remember my older sister rolling her eyes.

Yep. . . I do not think that I will feel that boredom again. There is always something to do. . . Unless involving the interpersonal relatioship thing I ranted about. Hmmm. . . gotta be a solution there . . . hmmm. See I cannot be bored... got too much on my mind.

Best,

LaMalinche

PS. . thank you for responding, I get so few.

I dig out My coloring book and crayons. Disney pictures are especially fun to color.

Why not see what you can do for someone else when you're bored? Call someone, send a card - whatever. Whenever i think i'm bored, it's really that i'm just being lazy.
