Status: offline 		I am thinking about getting a tattoo. I have been for years. I was wondering if any one here has BDSM themed tattoo ideas they could share.   Right now my current favorite potential tattoo is a pair of dog paws, one on each foot. (Hurt like hell I am sure but dog paws on my FEET!)

Status: offline 		The DeviantArt website has thousands of tattoo flash designs submitted by members and free to view. My girl spends literally hours poring thru them. Might be a source of inspiration?

Status: offline 		There are many tattoo artists that can design a particular one for you or tweak another to suit your needs.  If you can draw, design your own.  Mostly, find one that speaks to you.  I only wish someone had given me that advice before I got two of the three I have.

Status: offline 		As Fitz says, there's a lot of flash online. Have a look for dogs paw tattoos on google. You might well find something that takes your fancy.

Status: offline 		I think the dog paw idea is pretty cool and yes, it's going to hurt. Anything done in a bony area hurts a lot more than something where there is some body fat to cushion things. Some people love getting tattoos FOR the pain but that was never my thing - I think it just hurts, end of story.

My owner has mentioned me getting a pair of handcuffs intertwined with a rose. He's done a drawing of this himself. We'll see, maybe we will come up with something else and we have lots of time to wait as we're not doing this for quite a while yet.

I always kind of l liked the triskelion idea, which is a BDSM symbol. Here's a link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:BDSM_logo.svg The version in the link is free from copyright issues as it is in the public domain but tweaking it to be more personal would add more meaning to yourself- maybe you could add a paw print in there somewhere? I saw a version once with flames encircling the outside that was cool.

Status: offline 		I like the dog paw idea. I have a friend who has a tattoo on the top of her foot and she told me it didn't hurt half as much as the on her back. If you want to look into other ideas look around on the net for picture ideas a good tattoo artist can/will tweak it to make it personal to you.

waaaah I stole the idea from liz apparently but I was thinking of it vice versa and having the emblem within the paws

i believe the feet are excruciating btw.

Dogpaws on the feet! That is cute! Maybe you could drink some wine and read an engrossing illustrated fiction while it was going on. Do you like the furry theme in general?

When I was owned I once wanted to get a silver chain tattooed around my collarbone and then continuin all the way down my back, maybe twisting and curving a little, like a leash, but we never got around to it.

Actually I like your version better...how about if the paws were viewed from the side as if they were truly 'holding' the triskelion?

Status: offline 		After years of craving, I got my 1st tattoo as a 40th birthday gift. It is a good sized design of entwined fire and water on my right thigh. Now I want another; but administered involuntatily - while bound gagged and blindfolded. Perhaps my SLRN barcode or an extensive pubic tribal design - but who am I to say...

Status: offline 		I had my first tat when I was in my early 20s and chose the design without much thought other than thinking it was kind of cute. I hate that tat now as its meaningless. I have other tats that I have designed myself and so they are unique to me. They also have a meaning in my journey and experiences and I absolutely love them.
A tat should be like an original painting and not a copy from another persons design if its going to be a treasured and personal.
It used to be Chinese writing before it became Celtic designs and now the trend seems to be animal paw prints. Lots and lots of them about and in my opinion yawn worthy.

Just be careful about placement on the foot.  I had a friend get one on the top and after some time it began to fade because of shoes and socks both compressing and abrading the area.  Just be aware that you may need it touched up from time to time if placed where your shoes rub it.

And I love my trieskile on my left shoulder.  I think I have a pic of it in my profile...

Status: offline 		Here mine. Its a woman. arms bound with red and black cuffs above her head and she has a red and black corset. and a roman pillar backround. Its on my inner right for-arm, From wrist to inner elbow. I do get a lot of questions about if I am in to the life style I just say yes and leave it that.
