Maybe I missed something, though I don't think so. I'm puzzled by just what the controversy or disagreement is all about. Granted, most of the time the scammers are very easy to spot. Still, if somone has taken the trouble to make a list of known ones, that's useful information to have. It sounds like good advice to have the profile with that list readily accessible. New scammers and spammers come along all the time, and old ones change nicks, so we can't expect any listing to be complete. Anyone who is doing something to make this site less inviting to scammers deserves to be commended.

Moreover, who is to say that the list is accurate, or that someone wasn't added to the list out of spite, rather than because they were truly a scammer? Frankly, i've added the OP to my list. [:D]

~FR~ A few questions, sorry for any repeats, being lazy today and only read page 1.. Who moderates the list? How are they contactable? What capacity is there for appeals, if you've been added to the list in error? What criteria needs to be filled to have someone put on the list? What independant verification/corroboration is conducted before someone is placed on the list? Similarly, what investigation is done to confirm someone should be taken off? How often is the list updated? Is this list partial or exhaustive? What collaboration is underway with CM staff in order to take formal/legal action against people on the list? Looking forward to the reply, OP. Should be VERY easy questions to answer.
