I am new here but experienced in the lifestyle. This site was recommended to me by an acquaintance who I'm no longer in touch with. I would like to try to meet someone here for a possible relationship, but do not know what to do or where to post. Can anyone help? Is there a section to post a personals ad? Or should one use the forum topics like this? I tried several times to enter a chat room but got a resonse 'unable to connect' even tho I do have an updated version of Java on my system. Will appreciate any advice as to how to use the site. Thanks in advance!

Start looking up mailing groups and clubs in your area. You can also start sending messages to CM members that are in your area. Ask for help and groups to join. I wouldn't bother with chat lines. Most conversations don't go anywhere.

Put up a TRUE profile of yourself. Give as many details as you feel you can and be brutally honest with yourself about who you are and what you are looking for. A good pic of yourself helps too.

I will second - write a true profile about yourself - be very honest about who you are and what you want. And then, be patient. Look at other's profiles, send polite notes if you think there may be grounds for discussion. And then, be patient.

It took quite some time, but I met my partner through this site. During the looking and being open to others who are looking phase, I met a few great people, made a few friends, met some really interesting people, met some people I could have lived without knowing my entire life, participated in the discussion fora.

I see you found where to post your profile. Probably the next step is to search for subs in your area that interest you and send them a friendly email that indicates that you read their profiles. Good luck.

I'll generally agree, with the proviso that "brutally" doesn't mean concentrating on your negatives (we all have them).

Some people just don't want everyone knowing what they look like. Some would rather send pics to a select few. After all, do you really want a strager taping you on the shoulder about how you briefly chatted once? Being a CM member does not mean you're automaticly my Best Friend. I'm trying to shop, introduce yourself to me at a BDSM event. No you can't come over nor have my number.
