I'm a filmmaker and think I will make a serious, non-porno documentary about a household with a Male Dom and slave female.

I'm in Columbus, Ohio. Anyone interested in being subjects?

Great idea. There's not much out there in terms of documentaries about this lifestyle, and even less about male dom/female sub.

Even though bdsm is slowly entering more into the mainstram in terms of ads, TV and movies, it's still a bigger deal to show a man dominating a willing female, then it is to show a woman "beating on a man".

Good luck with the project!

Very interesting....I think it would show that D/s life is not as unacceptable as many vanilla life stylers would imagine..and who knows such a documentary may show to many "vanilla" partners of a "I wish my wife/husband would try this life" that maybe it is not as horrific as they may "think"....be well..Tempting.

Whilst I agree with the concept and applau=de the idea, I'd like to see such an enterprise doe with a sufficiently large budget to afford professionals playing the parts of male Dominant and female submissive with a suitable amount of background well (professionally) researched information.

My only problem is the title of this thread:

Making a Real Film

Had you left out the REAL I may have taken this more seriously.. By iference, you are saying that other films are not "Real"... Exodise, LoR trilogy, Star wars Series, The Bible, Cleopatra, Ben Hur, Sparticus, The Omen Trilogy, The Battle of Britian, The Gods Must Be Crazy and All Quiet On The Western Front to name a few are not Real?????

I think he is admitting that he is a novice trying to be innovative and doing something original.

To the OP, have you done any films of any kind so far? Have you done anything we would know about?

We have been interested in this for quite a long time. In fact we've been contacted by a person from this site. Unfortunately he, like you, isn't in LA area and even the preliminary discussions bog down on the problematic issues that causes.

We agree that it's rare to see a "lifestyle" couple represented without sensationalism. In the few attempts one or the other is involved in the professional side of the business is some form or fashion. Many don't relate, and pro affiliation gives credence that it's "not possible" outside of that context. Not true - but if it's the only image projected, it's the only one people can carry away. Either that or the usual TV "sweeps-week" exploitation on Jerry Spinger type shows.

Do you believe there would be interest is a daily routine within a 24/7 M/s relationship? If so we'd stand out there an "represent".

IB - i have to repectfuly disagree with you = ( i dont think proffesional play any parts. Or even a large budget is needed. i think he needs to find D/s and M/s, Gorean, Poly, TPE, Tops/Bottems households and walk around with a really good video camera. i mean who wants to see how the proffesionals do what we do? i want to see people, every day ppl, ppl that live life, ppl that have lives LIVE IT. Novices, to medium to experts (but i dun really want to watch experts).. to just plain ppl.. and softcore to hardcore. Extreme to eh non extreme.

i hate to say it but REAL people. Sure he could get Brad Pitt or Sean Connery or Even Mr Warren. (Not saying you're not ppl Mr Warren) But with actors.. well... i doubt they'll really "feel" it. i want depth of EMOTION. i want to see the struggles, the hardships, the happy go lucky, the triumphs, the JOURNEY. With Mr Warren there'd be no journey. He's prolly got it down pat to the T and it would all be perfect. Life isnt perfect. i would prolly bring in Mr Warren (or some one like him) for the "expert" section. Maybe to give pointers along the way of the documentary. Or advice, ideas, explanations. Stuff like that.

Professionals? Bah. Real as in the sense i'm using it.. yes.. a "real" film Not one glossed over by actors or pretend stuff. And to answer your question Mr IB - aye the films you mentioned are not real (atleast some) Most are fiction. Though they are GREAT movies.

And last "movie" i saw about the lifestyle was umm.. the one with the dude on the boat.. Exit to Eden.. and <sigh> it left so much to be desired! thankfully i read the book.. which also left stuff to be desired.. but not as much as the movie.

A REAL documentary!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thanks ES I just read his statement that he is a Film Maker which for me and thinking about people I know, usually says that some one is an accredited and experienced film maker..... Sorry MojoRisin just a bit of Oversized Duck Pond misinterpretation .. must be the sea gulls farting mid ocean or something....... I still like the idea BTW Mate.

RiotGirl, sure. This would have to be a real life thing with real people. The concept is interesting in any case.

Master and I have considered many times doing this very thing. However, we wouldn't make good subjects at this time, since He's gone more than He's here.

Awesome idea, and something that I feel would be a great asset to our world. I hope that you are a success with the project. If you decide you have interest in doing a similar thing on training a slave/pup or a few sessions, let me know, I would be interested in what you would have in mind for something like that with Mm sessions.
