ORIGINAL: Level Understood, my friend. What I'm seeing is, we're already there, but we don't have the numbers to do what we want, be done with it, and get the hell out. Get the number of troops needed, get aggressive, and get our folks home. I was all set to disagree with your initial post, Level. Then I saw this and I have to say I agree with you PROVIDED that the reason more troops will/would be sent would be for that reason and not just to keep things going. Exactly. That's all we're doing now, fumble-fucking around, barely maintaining a status quo (and not even that, really). Get it done, or get out. I'm not entirely convinced that there was enough planning in the first place. From what I've seen, admittedly not a whole lot, the whole thing seems to have been a disaster from the start. It seems to me that I remember reading about troops camping in a valley, leaving themselves open for a massacre, which just made me shake my head. My instinct is to say "Get out now!" but I do have enough sense to know that it would be a disaster if they were to do that.
