I wonder if there is anyone out there who finds this topic as interesting as I do? Please read the following description of a slave uniform and respond with any reactions. The domestic submissive should be required to wear a uniform on a daily basis. A uniform provides a clear sense of duty, obligation, and purpose for the individual who wears it. In this case, the uniform should be formally tailored and pleasing to the eye of the Mistress or owner. The outward appearance of the uniformed domestic should be trim, sleek, elegant, and formal. The fit of the uniform should be exacting and severe. The tailoring of this garment should be such that the domestic feels controlled and subdued while wearing it. This is as much a tool of control as it is a garment of service and elegance. This is not to say that the uniform should be so uncomfortable that it is impossible to wear for long periods of time, but it is to say that the garment should be somewhat stiff and controlling. The uniform shall consist of a combination of undergarments and a suit. First, it is important to note that a corset will be worn underneath the uniform at all times. The severe tailoring of the uniform will not allow the submissive to go without his corset. In addition to fit, the corset provides a strict reminder that it is not proper for a domestic submissive to slouch. The outer parts of the uniform shall consist of a severely tailored jacket, tailored pants, and a tailored pencil skirt for hobbling (pants OR skirt should be mandated at any one time). The most complex piece, the jacket, shall be made of a very stiff material and tailored to exacting standards with the corset measurements taken into consideration. The front will be a hidden zip closure with optional locking tabs at each end. The collar will be very stiff and stand at three inches tall. Remember, posture and grace are paramount to the appearance of submission, so stiff materials and exact tailoring will only demand such things from the submissive who will be put into the uniform. Please feel free to add suggestions to the uniform. As you can see, I have not yet considered appropriate footwear... Respectfully, jason

That's one approach. Not one that suits me. I prefer a bit more skin and access. At one of our parties, a painter offered to "dress" the two serving wenches. He created a tuxedo for each of them in liquid latex. It took about two hours each and a few hours into the party the latex began to peal away, most fetchingly.

Jack McG is a staunch proponent of uniforms for both Master and slave. (something about his military background I imagine) From his webpage http://www.disciplineandservice.org We believe that a uniform promotes a sense of purpose and identity. We do not believe in clothing ourselves in fantasy costumes. Our uniforms ensure a neat appearance that is both pleasing to the Masters and functional. In addition to the black uniforms that we wear at events we also have a lighter colored uniform for wear during daily activities and separate uniform for activities requiring a jacket and tie. (I think the everyday uniform is khaki pants and a polo style shirt....my best recollection) I paraphrase one of Jack's statements....'It makes the job of laundry so simple!' While I may not agree with everything the McG believes I do see a very important consideration in the above description that is important..and contrary to your selection of uniform: Functional. Your description of a uniform for a domestic submissive/slave does not sound very functional. I base this on the defination of a domestic slave being someone who performs typical domestic chores such as cooking, ironing, washing, cleaning the house. How does one scrub the floors, make the beds, clean the toilets and dust the legs of a table while wearing a restrictive corset, stiff suit and 3" collar? Servants of days gone by often had 2 or 3 levels of appropriate uniforms, depending on their station in the household. Everyday workwear was less restrictive than formal public uniforms. My own everyday workwear as approved by Master Archer is sweats/t-shirt in the winter and shorts/t-shirt in the summer. Of course, my everyday tasks include leatherwork as well as domestic chores. When in public the level of my attire is MUCH more formal...grin While you may desire a uniform that is 'more a tool of control as it is a garment of service and elegance' the functions of the person wearing it should be a priority. Washing the car (a domestic duty) in the described uniform would possibly ruin the garment. Have you defined the service structure, heirarchy and duties of your domestic servants/slaves? Once that has been completed you can then combine fantasy with fact to create an appropriate uniform.

The heavy work of the day was finished at that point, and the maid was thus more suitably attired for opening the door to visitors, etc. In modern day, while I can appreciate the beauty in a formally attired servant, I think something like well fitted slacks and an oxford shirt is more practical for running errands and doing work around the house.

Okay, I believe I am a more simple Mistress. Our slave wears black shorts and a white T-shirt (with 'slave' on the front) during warm weather. A heavier skirt in the winter, same T-shirt. No underwear, bra, nylons. When out in public, a simple black fitted dress and white apron. At all time she is in her collar. I would say it depends on the level of ... interest ... One has in what their slave is wearing. As long as she performs her duties (all of them), in a swift manner with no insubordination, what she wears will remain simple. If she begins to deserve punishment ... she'll find her a** in a corset and belt faster than you can say ... switch me Mistress. Mistress G

I think your description of that uniform is so excellent, just the description arouses me. I would wear something like that in a shot Jason :)

though black thigh highs would be a set piece standard look, would also recommend white thigh highs as well to this outfit. White tends to always attrach dust and dirt when cleaning. Also, would the heels being worn be open toe or closed?

I am with Elegant... uniforms need to be functional first. As a RN i wear uniforms to work.... clothing needs to be comfortable as well as functional... depending on the tasks to be done. If the fit isn't right and is too constrictive, it impedes ones performance.

Why dirty more clothes than you need too? When it's just my sub and I alone all she has on is a collar...and maybe a smile if I tell her to.

I like that outfit! Around here it is said the thing i wear the most is a wet towel; well i shower them both.

while i agree to an extent as to the reasons behind your scenario of the uniforms,however that may not be to everyones liking...my self i prefer my slaves to wear leather(which can be fashioned to any scenario)i like my slaves smelling of woman and leather....just me

I have always been partial to Harem Girl Outfits, French Maids, and best of all the uniform that "O" wore in The Story of O.

I think that any clothing a Dominant would choose for a slave would conform to a uniform title, as long as it serves the purpose of the Dominant in how he would like his slave to be presented....

My three favorites are corsets with stockings and heels. Second is the classic French maid uniform. In the film version of "THE STORY OF O" the gown worn at the château was interesting and very convent for easy access by the master.
