i love the collar Master gave me. It's comfortable and looks nice. The only issue i seem to encounter is my hair. i have long hair. The lock on the collar gets my hair in a big tangle. Sometimes, I put my hair in pigtails, other times braids, trying to keep this from happening. Are there any other solutions?

First get your owner's permission to do this...

Then go buy medical tape and carefully tape around the lock so that there are no exposed surfaces to catch on your hair (think like you are mummifying that little section!). The edges may be a little gummy at first but that should wear off pretty quickly. You can find all sorts of medical tape at CVS.

Edited to add: This probably won't be as helpful if you remove the collar on a regular basis though as it will make it a little hard to remove though not much. Medical tape stays in place and comes off with ease in my experience.

Yeah, i'm allowed to take it off for shower and work. When i get a better job, we have already talked about me wearing it to work too, but that's to come later.

If it comes off regularly, ie. mutiple times a day, I don't know what you can do other than change the lock, change collars or wear your hair in a bun all the time.

Maybe you can sew snaps onto a little square of cloth and snap it over the lock part? Cut it about an inch wider than the lock on either side and have it taper so the outer edges fit to the collar itself, while there's a bigger spot in the middle to go over the lock, and just snap it together on each side and in the middle.

ETA: like this...kinda :P The parts going out will wrap to the collar and the big part in the middle will cover the lock, and the red dots are snaps. I'm an artistic genius I swear :P

Yup, I have the same exact problem because of my hair. It's very long and I have a ton of it and it gets tangled up in ear-rings, my glasses, the lock.. pretty much everything. One thing I've found helpful with the lock is to just turn the collar around so the locking mech is in the front. Other than that, braids, buns and pig tails are helpful when I do chores or cook .. and that's the only time that Himself allows me to wear my hair up.

I know I've seen wide terry bands that are hair accessories. They look like wrist bands but much smaller. Something like that, if slid on the collar, then the collar was locked, then you slide the band over the lock would work.

How about covering the lock by wrapping a small band-aid around it?  Cheap, disposable, and probably not that hard to unwind if you use a small one.
