now, is this netpaper considered leftie or rightie?

lol, good fodder for the media bias thread.

Ron

A good point, Ron. It's part of the media, so it must be left leaning. I hadn't thought of that...

Moon, everything is related to everything else, as the pythagoreans first postulated, obviating any need for a god (which is another thread to relate to)

Uncle (get the relation?) Ron

It was curiously interesting...

LOL, sorry but i'm really not sure how to answer you.

Look this is a political discussion board, i stumbled acrossed what i thought was an interesting article, if you don't like it, or don't like the site it was posted on (which i admit knowing nothing about the site) then by all means tear up the article and/or the site.

Fair enough. You might have been taken aback by the response you got, but seriously: have another look at that site and see whether you should take anything they have to say about anything seriously. There's some deeply foul stuff on there.

i didn't read any of the other stuff on that site, just that article. So i'm not aware of the sites political views.

In which case, I probably came down a bit too hard on you. If you haven't looked, the site's taking a pretty thoroughly neo nazi slant: horribly racist, viciously anti semitic and bloody unpleasant towards anybody in a position of authority whose down on gay bashing or pogroms. The civil war thing seems to be more paranoid rambling from one of the hard right American fringe groups who don't like the fact that there's a mulatto in the white house, sadly.

I suspect that the European Times website is an outfit of Stormfront.

If you go to the end of the article it gives a link for source which turns out to be American Resistance Radio.

Which I'm sure she knew, but The European Union Times just sounded so much more respectable.

So i'm not aware of the sites political views.

So, you just happened to stumble across a vile neo-nazi white supremacist website and decided to post an "interesting article" from it, but you still won't explain how the article lit up your interest? It's fast becoming your modus operandi, you do realise that you have done this on more than one occasion?

There appears to be "legitimate" articles in that site but there are also, racist, and anti-semitic articles.
PROBABLY not a good "source" to be quoting from.
And that "stormfront" source is the KKK I believe. Definately not a "source" to be quoting from!
Lots of paranoia in there! Must be written by "warmers." (lol)

Yeah well, I note that you're still incapable of elaborating on the "interesting" article you posted. Not that surprising, but perhaps next time, you'll check your source before posting: not all the stuff you receive in your mailbox is worthy of any other fate than landing facedown on the compost heap.

Some may find this interesting

To be fair - your lot are always going on about the right to rebellion. Russian bloke is only telling it how he sees it.

My money's on the South - lightening never strikes twice.

I've been away for a while. Happened to see on the news that El Presidente has got his way with the health bill. Let me tell you that I laughed my fuckin' cock off thinking of the melt down on this board.

Why the apology? Surely if a group has written this it's evidence of how some people think? Strange lot that side of Europe.

Did you invent a time machine and travel into the future? Congrats! Who wins the next Superbowl? Whoops - in your case, the focus would be on the 'World Cup'.

Or since the entire Obama Administration to date has been rhetoric based versus results, is getting a vote to talk about the Bill in one House of Congress your version of a President who; "got his way"?

Those lads in the stockings and crash helmets......Joe Montana lifts the trophy after a see-saw encounter with the Cardinals....Joe takes his stockings off to lift the trophy........nice touch.....though the Cardinals wouldn't have afforded the oppo the same consideration.

Oh I don't know much about congress or the representatives but I can put you in the picture when it comes to aids in Africa.

It's a shithole mate. They've no idea. Still running round with big ideas rather than sorting out what's right under their noses.

I don't have time to fight in a civil war. I'm still too busy keeping an eye out for the black helicopters.

Horrible mess, true enough.

I wouldn't be to sure - they've already lost twice. People on opposite sides of the American Civil War were largely - not entirely, but largely - decendents of people who were on the opposite sides of the English civil war. The same side lost in both cases.

Edited to add: glad to see ya back, I hope everything is all right in your world.

The English Civil War was a power struggle as you'd expect. Between various economic and political factions who wanted a share of the spoils. Not sure how that fits in with the American version.
