Typically, I am just now reading this thread started over 3 weeks ago. I know its my own fault, creating the roller-coaster, but we just seem to get sucked in every time! The first weekend in Dec Otter had a long Saturday at his shop, followed by an hour drive down to Denver for a party. Snow kicked up, so instead of going to Georgetown Xmas mart, we stayed snowed in and worked around the house. A full work week, followed by a full weekend hosting a houseful of kinky friends. (Awesome time!) I'd never appreciated cesaer salad tableside until we made Otter interject a strip-tease with the salad making. (Silly boy, what did he think would happen as the center of attention with a table full of kinkies?) Another full week of work and plans to stay home when we weren't at Otter's shop. (He decided to work the last 10 days leading up to Xmas to wring every last drop of holiday business possible). Staying home was just that; a plan. Instead I got last minute tickets to a hockey game, and then hosted friends overnight after closing the shop on Saturday. Sunday morning was our local munch, before dashing back off to the shop. Not to stay home yet, we then went to friends' house for dinner. I had a few days off this past week, so again it was off to Otter's shop where we had a fabulous bonding time creating a shadowbox for one of his favorite customers. Her reaction was all that we'd hoped, as well as pleasing some last minute shoppers with customized gifts. Guy shopping energy is the best. Look, point, pay, walk out with gift. From the retail side, guy customers ROCK! And in the spare time between all of the above, I sewed Otter a beautiful lamb leather collar. Pink on the inside for him, black on the outside for me. Symbolic and comfortable, we'll still use the more functional collar for playtime. It looks wonderful on him and makes me smile just as much as the shadowbox he made me, preserving 'the FIRST rose'... :) He's so wonderfully romantic! I worked today and will do so again tomorrow. The beeper is in my pocket, so I'm earning a little $ to be on the electronic leash. After 3:30pm on Saturday, I'm coming home and not answering the phone. I can 'just say NO' to social invitations....REALLY, I can! 4 days of work next week, then 5 glorious days of freedom. Otter's store will be closed, and after our local kinky New Year's Eve party, we're headed to western Colorado to get out of town. Work, work, PLAY HARD, work, work....we are so blessed to have such fabulous people in our lives! Happy Holidays everyone....start thinking about 2010 now, projecting INTENT to make it all that you want it to be!
