Tatoo symbols

Status: offline 		My dom and I have been talking about getting tatoos for each other that symbolize our relationship. The plan is to get the exact same tatoo, his on his shoulder or arm, and me on my hip. We both want the BDSM emblem to be present in it somehow, but we also want to incorporate symbols that are personal to each of us as well, to make it more individualized. Does anyone here have something similar, or simply a tatoo that symbolizes their devotion to a Master or slave? If so, what does it look like and what might you suggest?

Status: offline 		love tats. No clue tho on what you ask as i've not done it. But like Tempting suggested.. draw your own or have the tatter (heh tatter) draw one for you. Grab a few ideas of what you'd "like" things that mean something to you. Go down to the "tatters' shop and tell them what you told us. Usually Tatooers are also artists.. heck i dont know any that arent.. so its not hard for them to draw something up. Heck i go down to the shops randomly just to look and get suggetions from them for the ones i already have.

I am getting the Chinese symbols for 'property' and 'slave' tattooed on me. He is getting the symbol for Master. They are very simple symbols, yet if you know them you will recognize them on someone else.

Status: offline 		I had the BDSM symbol tattooed on my inner forearm, not as anything to do with a relationship, but as a gift to myself, expressing openly who I am.

As pointed out in the link below, if you modify the symbol too much, it is no longer the BDSM symbol but merely a triskele, which has been around in many cultures for many years.... (So don't be surprised if you start seeing groups of bald men in yellow togas following you around and pointing...)

However, there is nothing that says you cannot have the symbol placed in, or on top of, or adjacent to something that holds great personal meaning for you, as a combination design. (I'm having a dragon wrapped around the symbol later this year).

Alandra and I both have one, but ours is not a tattoo; it is a cutting of crossed swords which is our Lord's mark.

Status: offline 		ShiftedJewel & I both have half a Phoenix, I have mine on my left arm, she has her's on her right, so that when we put our arms together, it makes a double headed Phoenix with the BDSM symbol. There are some other details involving our names and such, but you get the drift. We are talking now of getting some sort of another matching tat so that our slave tess (twicehappy) and us as her owner(s), will all have one that matches.

Owner.

Plus I will be also getting my slave number barcode. (from Slave Register).

Our symbols are encircled by 3 tribal styled dragons (for my Master, Dragon)

I have my owners initial of his last name as a brand (for us, since i'm the slave it doesn't make sense for him to get marked). Its pretty simple and to the point. Of course the beauty of a tattoo is that you can get more ornate. I'd say that you should think of whatever holds personal significance to you and create a design around that. From what I've seen most tattoo artists or at least the good ones can help you create and refine a design.

A really splendid idea and one my Queen & I had quite some time ago. We had kanji done - Her's for Queen at the base of her spine and mine for Submit or Submissive at the top of my spine.

Here's the real problem, isn't it? You want a design that's special to the two of you and wonder if anyone else has something like it. Well, of course the answer is going to be yes, but the "special to you" part isn't going to be answsered very well. A few folks have suggested putting together some drawings of things and bringing them to your tattoo artist and that's something I'd like to echo. However, the "artist" part of that phrase is the critical part, no? Look, you're going to have these things for a long, long time (we all hope so, anyway!) and you deserve to have something beautiful to mark the relationship. Shop around. Find tattoo artists in your area and visit them until you find someone who does the kind of work that speaks to you. When you bring a pile of sketches to a good artist, they'll be happy to draw things for you that make sense.

Look, when I was small, I had a horse who could count to ten. And add two numbers (as long as they were, like, 5 and 5, or 6 and 4) or guess your age (as long as you were, say, 10 years old). Get the point? Well, there are lots (and lots and lots and lots) of "tattoo artists" out there who can make pretty much anything look like a Harley Davidson logo. As long as that's something you want to symbolize your relationship (Vroom! Vroom!), then you're golden. Anything else will require some effort proportional to the importance of the image you will both carry forever.

My Queen & I are looking for a new tattoo for me that has a deeper meaning than "submissive" and we've spent months designing the darn thing. We've finally gotten the thing down to what we want and how we want it portrayed. We even have the artist figured out. Next comes the final drawings from the artist and then *poof* - lots of prickly moments and a tattoo is born. In about the same amount of time as a human gets born.

Take your time. Don't get the Harley Davidson logo unless you want that.

Get what you both deserve.

Status: offline 		I showed a very close friend of mine an oriental phoenix design, which had my sinosied idioogram in the centre. She now has it as a full shoulder tattoo. Its... intersting, having her labelled and not knowing it.

Status: offline 		Master and i are both getting the same tatoo this summer: it will be of a peach with a bite out of it and the juice dripping withthe caption "eat a peach" underneath... His will be on His arm but since i already have 6 tatoos , we are discussing where this one should go ..

Master and I have similar tattoos. The irony is that we obtained them separately from each other, but ended up with the same kanji. His bicep has the chinese symbols for ThunderWolf on it and I have the symbols for wolf on my upper left shoulder blade.

We have talked about a brand, but that is off in the future.
