MyToyNoTouchy -> Masters and slaves - question for ya regarding photography (12/4/2009 7:26:51 AM)

Hello all,

I'm in the early planning stages of a new photography book that deals with the M/s relationship.  It'll focus primarily on the slave, his/her lifestyle, daily routines, the things that the slave goes through to please their owners.  It'll include, fine art style portraits of the groups/couples/unowned, journalist style photos of daily life, schedules, punishment and play sessions.

My question is this:  Is there an interest in unowned slaves, M/s couples and poly groups in having a roving photographer in their lives and personal business?  Do you see any pitfalls in this concept?

To give you an idea of my capabilities in photography, check out the portfolio section devious-entertainment.com. (NSFW!)

Thanks!

As a submissive who is also a nudist, I've long had the desire to have a photographer shoot a "Day in the life of..." or a "Weekend with..." series of un-posed journalistic photographs, much  like my profile photograph (shot by a visiting friend of a friend). Like many people, however, my interest is mainly for a personal use (perhaps a gift book for select friends), and not to be a part of a photographer's portfolio or in a widely published work

Good luck with your project, though. It's a good idea, and I'm sure you'll find sufficient "models" in the Dallas area.

Ah, Dallas. Hence Angela showing up in your work. She's downright fabulous.

To the point: plenty of erotic photographers have directed series of projects towards D/s or kink-related interactions. The fact that you have a rather reputable portfolio and attractive work will help lure in those who may want to play with the idea but who are unsure about the legitimacy of someone saying they want to do this sort of thing. Your photography style is very boudoir and alt-glamour-pinup-esque...it would be interesting to see how that would translate to a mobile, energetic scene (as opposed to photographers like Aeric Goujon or Melvin Moten who have styles conducive to movement and kinetic interactions).

The normal detractors in trying such a venture don't seem applicable in your case and you appear to already be experienced and comfortable shooting explicit erotica.

Good luck!

Thanks all, I appreciate the support.  The response has been pretty tepid.  I'll continue to pursue this project, but my timeline will need serious adjustment.

Shooting during a scene is only one aspect of the entire oeuvre.  I think it might be more accurate if I had said that I'm interested in the lifestyle of those in the "Lifestyle". heh.

NihilusZero: Angela is an old friend of mine and I used to shoot her almost on a monthly basis back when she was first starting her career.  I'm so proud of what she's accomplished.
