I saw it this afternoon and quite frankly I don't believe it. I'm going to have to hear the other side of the story. There are two sides to every story and I want to know the other side. That includes Al Gore and several other people including David Suzuki. I am going to wait and see what they have to say. Otherwise, I think to throw all of this out is premature and I think you guys would be wise to sit back and wait and see how this all turns out before you start rubbing your hands with glee.

Nothing surprises me anymore and it still wouldn't surprise me one bit to find out Exxon or some other entity like that had this elaborate campaign to undermine the science of global warming. I don't know why you guys like oil and coal companies because most people don't.

At this point, it' s easy for me to believe you guys are not objective, maybe you own a gas station, work for a gas company, own shares in Chevron or who knows what. I still smell something fishy going on so I am not changing my mind just yet. If what happened here is true, it is unprecedented. I've never heard of such a thing before, and the entire scientific theory like this being discredited because of dishonesty? Not so fast, I've never seen this happen before so I am just going to wait and see what happens.

I still don't believe you guys listened to the link on CBC radio that I posted.

All of these scientists were in collusion together conspiring to lie in order to make money? This is very difficult to believe and like I said before I just have to wait and see.

Maybe if it was one guy I could believe it more easily but all of them, no, I'm going to have to wait and see.

Brain,

I rarely respond to any of your post, but I wanted to on this one.

First, as I've said before, it is most likely that it wasn't a fraud in which a bunch of people sat down, and planned out everything.  It was most likely one of those things that was a bit here, a bit there, some people getting additional funding and grants, and a little more recognization in their field ... so that after several years, an entire edifice had been built, which their reputations and lives depending upon defending.

Sometimes the biggest mistakes in our lives happen bit, by bit, until one day we wake up and find out that we are wanted in 6 states ... or 4 countries ....

I suspect that's what happened here.

But, just to prove that "scientific" quakery and frauds aren't all that uncommon ...

Thank you.      I read the emails.  I think I had posted the link here before.  It is quite a download.   They wanted to hide the decline.  A few did not want their names associated with the paper.   But more then that- I have been in touch with my state reps office - and they do take my calls.   A year ago- they would tell me- we are not federal.   But today they are interested in what I have to say.  Particularly the home inspections and license requirements which cap and trade would impose on us.   I don;t have all the answers, I did say tho- that I felt many states would simply refuse to comply with such a law.

PaHunk, agreed. I think there'd be a lot of problems getting the individual states to comply with such an obvious sham.
I'll be calling my congressman Henry Brown and my two senators, Jim DeMint and Lindsey Graham about this this week!
They haven't even started that Copenhagen thing yet and *already* there is talk about *How Much Money* they can get out of the U.S.!
Must be the "U.N." wants to start giving out "Bonuses" to the stuffed shirt bueracrats like they work for Merrill Lynch or something!

Brain, I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting to hear from Al Gore on these e-mails. He's part of the hoax.

Usually they are into state business... but this one has such far reaching effects- I wanted the state to have a heads up.  Even if we have to go along with it- I can picture it being less severe.  Because no one likes the code guy.   Not the way - they can be.  These rules will in effect have an international code guy.  and that guy can bar you from living in your own house. Houses will be licensed like cars.  and penalties are stiff.   Why would anyone even "own" if you cant live in the place?  It is a land grab.
