That said... too many women (on the internet at least) seem to think I'm effeminate or something. What gives? Is there something wrong with my pics? It's been bugging me to the point where i'm starting to hate being submissive...

Status: offline 		You're wearing what look like chaps to me - but I don't think that explains it.  Plenty of malesubs have pics in which they're wearing what looks like somewhat stereotypical 'gay' outfits.  The only other thing I can think of is your nick.  "PolyVinyl" was a female punk rock singer.

Nah.  I think you've just been speaking to a few 'odd' women.

Status: offline 		What LadyHib said, but in addition (and not related to your question), I prefer to see a man with more clothing on in his photos.  I rather look forward to "unwrapping" my men, and if you're already offering a lot of the gift in the photo, there's not as much to look forward to.  That having been said, you have a very nice profile, wonderfully lacking in the "I'll let you do __________ to me" approach.  If I were available, and you were twice your age, or I half of mine, I'd definitely consider getting to know you better.  Assuming, of course, that you wanted to date someone who looks like a Paul Klee painting.

I agree with the others, the chaps could be one reason.  Maybe you could post a clothed photo along with the "chaps" one. To be honest, I don't see anything in your profile that would suggest you're looking for anything other than what you mention...a Domina/GF.
I'm only going on what you offer here on the boards and in your profile, though, not sure how you come across in "real life".

Be patient and don't worry too much...just be yourself (I know, sounds cliché ).

Status: offline 		I happen to like girl-like men. As I am a gay man happily residing in a straight, albeit twisted, woman's body, it suits me fine. But, as for pics, I agree about the "unwrapping" thing. (or unwrapping the thing) I like a discernible form under contour-suggesting outerwear.

Status: offline 		First I thought your post was really an advertisement for gay men or bi men to read and notice you but there's some truth in today's men looking more feminine. Men are starting to adorn themselves like women now , more and more for some reason, and they're also wearing make up more and double earrings. I don't know why they have to take all this action in the mating process , maybe competition for woman attention is getting harder and harder.

Status: offline 		I think it is more a factor that gender is much more fluid than we believe.   Societal restrictions and expectations on men in the western world have relaxed since the early 90s and males are feeling free-er to express some of those more fluid desires around adornment, sexuality, and gender expression.

Status: offline 		Well of course it's acceptable for men to dress how they want. Question is why do they want to emulate a woman if their straight? Why do they go out of their way to wear make-up and earrings and even nail polish? Why do they adorn themselves like women to attract women? Or are they emulating what worked for women when women attract men? Is it because they want to be a like women and attract men too? And why do other men stay away from eye liner, nail polish and double earrings and instead rely on their masculinity to attract women? Masculine men and feminine men, I wonder if the feminine men adoring themselves with make up and jewels are the sort of queen-type of gay or bi~sexuals.

Seriously, I think many men adorn themselves simply because they -like it-.  Why must adornment be limited to only the female of the species? I believe for some it is an "in your face" expression that they are secure in their masculinity, for others it is an expression of their "authentic selves" in expressing fluidity in their gender, for yet others, maybe they just -like it- without a whole lot of deep feelings for "why".

It is high time for a sexual revolution...for men...

Status: offline 		<------ As a gay male Dom I say "HELL YES - you are in traditiional gay chaps......" and even more to the point, you're offering your ass. Put that picture in the "View all photos" section of your profile.  So, what to put as your main photo?  Kneeling in jock strap.  Bowing so that face is obscured.  Then it would be neutral.

Status: offline 		I have to admit, the chaps lead me to at least check your profile to see if you were bi.  (You don't have it listed either way, so you might want to fill that part out if you are not.)  Also, like the suggestion of kneeling in a jock, but if you must show skin, PeonForHer seems to have the right idea by just showing the back.  Shows skin but still unwrapable and doesn't lead one to believe any particular sexual preferance.
