I am not at all offended by your statement nor am I suprised by it. It's not orginal by any means. You're idea of a an m/s dynamic are obviously different than mine and my idea of who/what is superior is obviously different than yours.

ETA: Why do you think it strange that PEOPLE be offended by something that differs from their own personal belief system? Just b/c we are on CM doesn't me all think, feel or belief the same.

Perhaps you shouldn't be slavering after the young ones when it is apparent you have no commonalities. I doubt you would be called old by someone your own age. But you don't approach those, do you?

Kind of off topic, but has anyone noticed that the thread title in the main forum is "Respect" but if you go out to the forum list and even the third page here, it's titled "LafayetteLady"?

Actually it was your post that was trying very hard to be politically correct. You believe it is politically correct for a 'slave' to accept being treated with rudeness.... even by a Master she hasn't yet met!!
What you said kind of reminded me of these cyber BDSM chat rooms where the sub must strip on entry and go to the pit to await whatever abuse the Dominants wish to dish out and whilst it may well work in cyber it sure as hell doesn't work in the real world.
I pointed out and I believe rightly so, that this is fantasy mixed up with reality.
Offended? Em no! I just find it amusing.

Because your understanding of written English does not seem to be especially firm, I thought I might let you know that there is alot of ambiguity in your statement.
I can not discern if you are quoting this as written by the younger party or if it is quoting the older party as relayed through the younger person or if you are quoting the older party's journal entry.

So, if the older guy is asking a younger person why would she want an old fart like him then the perceived insult is not coming from the younger person at all.

Also, since you have a bias against younger people, then I am not sure I understand why your bias is right and a younger person's is wrong.

Perhaps this is how you see things. What i did find interesting regarding your first post on this thread, was your need to draw attention to yourself and away from the Op. That did amuse me. It is working, so i do hope you feel better getting some attention this morning.

I think it also very much depends on how he writes to them. Do you see the letters going out to these young women? Do you actually see the initial letters he sends?
People who don't put an age limit often don't have an age limit but that is not to say that age won't be used against someone if the letter they send is condescending.
I look at certain young people on the scene and think 'wow they seem so young' and I look at others of a similar age and don't think that at all. Its all to do with how they interact, how they behave. Its the same with older people. Some just act like old fashioned know it alls and some just move with the times. So it may not really be the age that's the issue but used as a handy weapon back at someone who has perhaps been a little too demanding?
Before I met Steve I had a whole bunch of Doms writing to me with so much life experience they could of written a biography! Without the evidence of their epic tales I'm afraid I take it all with a grain of salt.
