Brain -> Tea Party more popular than GOP in national poll (12/9/2009 2:09:14 AM)

This story is sooooo good! Run Sarah run, for the Tea Party!

Tea Party more popular than GOP in national poll

Want to become a congressman in a conservative district?

Then perhaps you shouldn't run as a Republican. A national poll which gave respondents three choices -- to support a generic Democrat, Republican or Tea Party candidate -- put the Tea Party candidate over the Republican, 23 to 18 percent. Democrats led with 36 percent; 22 percent were undecided.

Nationwide, a near-majority say a new party is needed to represent their views. Forty-one percent (41%) of all voters nationwide say Republicans and Democrats are so much alike that a new party is needed to represent the American people

I think this is unconstitutional, somebody should challenge the rules:

For this survey, the respondents were asked to assume that the Tea Party movement organized as a new political party. In practical terms, it is unlikely that a true third-party option would perform as well as the polling data indicates. The rules of the election process—written by Republicans and Democrats--provide substantial advantages for the two established major parties. The more conventional route in the United States is for a potential third-party force to overtake one of the existing parties.

The tea-party movement has only disrespectfully hijacked the Ron Paul movement.

They took what Ron Paul created, made it colorful, flamboyant, and queer, peppered in some negrophobia, and added some Obama-as-Hitler art, and call it genuine.  Actually, its a ripoff.

So when I see "tea party candidate gets 23%", I see that as Ron Paul gets 23%.

I have never thought of it that way but I have to say there are a lot of things about Ron Paul I find agreeable. I agree with him the American military has to stop spreading itself all over the world. I think we need some agency to inspect food so I don't agree with him to
get rid of the FDA.

Why do Republicans like Sarah more than Ron Paul? He’s more qualified/experienced than she but I think she's more popular; it doesn't make sense to me.

Because they're idiots. They can relate to Sarah Palin because she's an idiot too, and when she opens her mouth and says idiot stuff, it resonates with them because what she's saying is just as stupid as what they're thinking.

Ron Paul, on the other hand, uses multisyllabic words, complex sentences, and complete paragraphs. So after about 6 to 9 seconds, their eyes glaze over and they don't understand anything he says. As far as they're concerned, he's a space alien. But Sarah Palin - heck, yeah, she's one of them.

Because they are both idiots, but he's the more dangerous one.

Ron Paul
-------------------

Ron Paul is the real deal.  And do you want to know why?  He has a long record of voting where his mouth is.

I had a Ron Paul sign on my house for many months. The city never cited me.  I have tho now taken it down- as I dont want to be too antagonistic to my neighbors.

No- more like Mount Rushmore- with Bob Chapman.  I can see it now.

Ron Paul stands against the private federal reserve.   They own this country.   You do realize who really runs the country?    It is not Obama, it is not bush... it is big banks.
