I pay attention to how all people treat others. Doesn't matter what label they want to put on themselves.

The first time I met my son's ex mother-in-law I couldn't stand her for the way she treated the waitress. I shoulda got rid of her then.

Oh no kidding, watching how folks treat waitstaff is a BIG clue!! That is one of the reasons I like to go out to diners and such, and see how they behave. And, watch if they eat with their mouths closed.

None of the ladies are gonna like me cause I tell people off when I get in a snit (as apposed to a snut - which I've never gotten "into" per se, but if holly is the "snut" of choice, wellllll I could be persuaded. *gasp* I just thought of holly in unholy ways)... I don't need the jello shooter's... but am even worse with them! lol Everyone around me knows that when I speak... I make more mistakes. Like when I tried to say tornado... it came out whirly bird thingy. When I point and make funny faces or wave my hands... I am stuck! I do far better writing. Never know what will come out of my mouth! And they say it will get worse in time... scary! lol

I will admit that while I try to be mannerly and polite, I am horribly prejudiced against the willfully stupid and ignorant and I can get very short and sarcastic with such people. I am currently blaming this on the hormonal rollercoaster due to hysterectomy with no hormones, so I am not sure what I'll be able to use for an excuse in a couple of years when that settles down aside from "cranky bitch"

. Because I know that I can come off sharp-edged, I do try to watch what I say, most especially when I feel strongly about something. Many times writing posts I stop and re-read what I've written and tone down my initial text, because while it might be okay if you were in the same room with me and got the body language, in a post it comes across as too harsh.

I can't imagine sucking up to one group of people while being dismissive or ugly to another group who just don't happen to have something I want. I think it would be soul-destroying to spend that much effort pretending. I'd rather let the chips fall as they may and be myself with everyone. I never say anything behind a person's back that I won't say to their face. I definitely believe in saying what I mean, and not pulling punches, and calling bullshit when needed. I think it's possible to do all that in a businesslike way, being calm and polite, even when you feel passionately about the issues.

Yes, I am submissive. But I think it's possible to be submissive with self-integrity, if that makes sense. I am honest about what I feel, what I think, and what I want. Since I come equipped with a Lady who has owned and cherished me for 15 years, I don't know if my presentation is offputting to dommes. If so, no one has said so, but of course, I am not shopping.
