America's largest non-profit Rescue and Sanctuary with 800 plus birds, all needing food and care. This is staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers and they can use our support.

They also care for parrots when military owners are overseas serving our country.

Rumor is that an anonymous donor will be matching holiday contributions up to a total of $5000 to help supply the 2000 lbs of food they use each month. That will be announced on Dec 20th 2009. This person made a similar pledge in early spring.

If any of you are parrot owners or animal lovers, please go to their website and make a donation of any size. Just mark it MATCH THIS so it helps them grow.

Perhaps your group can join together and sponsor one of the birds – a living virtual pet that you can all share in. That’s also a great project for school kids to do with their class to bring awareness about endangered species and other animal welfare issues.
