So, my fellow human type beings..... Who wrote YOUR book of love? For me i'd have to say for sure my parents and grandparents wrote the 1st chapter or 2....
Ahhhh but i do remember Tom, he had the DREAMIEST eyes! like a crystal blue, and   long dark eye lashes...[sm=hearts.gif] i was 12, he was 13 (and 6' 2" WOW!*swoon*) He was my 1st boyfriend, and we went steady for 11 months! a life time in "teen years" LOL. He was also my 1st consensual sex partner. We actually stayed in touch until i met and married my husband at age 19/20 and moved to VA.  Then of course there were many people after my parents and Tom...other boyfriends along the way, my husband....but the chapters my kids wrote! i didn't know i could love someone so much until i had kids...OMG!...and being a grandma??? forgetaboutit![:)]

Whether you are a country music fan or not....To me this is bar none one of the most romantic songs i've ever heard (can't ever make it through the fucker without crying my ass off either LOL)[:(]

For me, it has been everyone I have ever loved and who have loved me.
It was a woman who befriended me when I was a young teenager.
It was Mr. Rogers.
It is authors such as L.M. Montgomery, Robert A. Heinlein, Melody Beattie, Marianne Williamson, C.S. Lewis, Jeremy W. Hayward and Leo Buscaglia.
It is a haiku by Andrew Vachss.

My mother, my grandmother, teachers who have supported and praised me, friends, one cousin, my children and The Man.

My daughter is a psychology major and while studying parenting this year she's come across so many case histories and personal stories of those who do it wrong that she was moved to call me up several times and thank me for not being a classless bitch. I hadn't realized that doing the right thing imperfectly was so rare and so valuable.

i know what you mean... i'm at that stage with my kids too. They are in their mid and upper 20's. Its so nice to get that call....or hear it when they come over. Its nice to hear they think we did well, or well enough anyway[;)]
