Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Festivus, or lack there of, from us to you.

A little carol from SweetDommes and I to you:)

Gosh and here I thought I was going to see a nice message for the holiday season. Instead it's the same bs.

So much for 'tis the season to be jolly' and 'peace and goodwill to all'

Bah Humbug to you subrob.......

I was kind of wondering how many other songs are left for them to associate with Obama, there can't be many they'll run out of songs eventually.

Lame, I feel like I've been Rick Rolled.

I saw the post and clicked the link a few minutes after he posted it, and in retrospect should have posted a warning. But I was too disgusted and disillusioned for words.

I really don’t care what the politics of the thing is – the people who find this disgusting would be laughing their asses off if it was about Sarah Palin – but to take my favorite Christmas song and sully it by using it for political parody… that’s unforgivable.

If anyone needs an antidote, Ringo Starr has the best version of The Little Drummer Boy.

Rednecks by Randy Newman is probably safe.

Sly Stone. Family Affair.
Elvis Presley. In the Ghetto.
theres a million of em, he'll need two terms to get thru them

Moonhead -> RE: Happy Hplodays to the Politics & Religion Regulars (12/16/2009 2:33:33 PM)

I Sent Your Rapist A Thank You Card by Anal Cunt.
Lady Marmalade by Labelle.
Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos by Public Enemy.
Fuck Tha Police by NWA...

You're right, there's loads of them. Loads and loads.

mnottertail -> RE: Happy Hplodays to the Politics & Religion Regulars (12/16/2009 2:35:08 PM)

maybe need a constitutional amendment to remove the term limits so we can get thru them all.
concervatives are all about our freedom right? they will support us.

Despite the video, the well wishes were honest and heartfelt.

TheHeretic -> RE: Happy Hplodays to the Politics & Religion Regulars (12/16/2009 5:58:00 PM)

Clever.  Funny.  A nice parody of the Obama true-believers.  It's easy to see why some seem so mortified.  Would it be better if elementary schoolkids were taught to sing it?

It's in the "Politics and Religion" forum.

You expected anything different?

I thought it was pretty humorous, actually.

Merry Christmas to everyone.  Even those who disagree with me politically and philosophically.

And I mean that sincerely.

Firm

That about sums it up.

Two fat rednecks who have a radio show.

The crux of the conservative movement.

And don't forget to wish people happy Solstice... the REAL reason for the season.

It was a snarky crack about finding this disgusting and feeling the same way if it had been a stab at Sarah. Actually my main bitch with the thread was my anticipation of a happy message only to be met with more rude insults. Didn't really matter who they were aimed at. Then I decided I was just being bitchy because I am trying to quit smoking, so I erased it and went to the park. Hope your having a good day and thanks for the Ringo song. Here's another Little Drummer boy I have always liked http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsrgFaRQ6h0
