This is what i've learned so far, mostly from other newsgroups/e-mail lists. Any first hand input on 24/7 use of either device would be appreciated. There is a discussion on here from maybe a month ago about the health risks of devices with urethral insertion. They are not designed for 24/7 wear. Infection is a very high risk. I know their FAQs say other wise, but look at people who must wear catheters. As far as the KTB I am not sure how good one really is. I have only used them for casual CBT play. This is what Nexo, that maker of the cocktrap had to say, about the CockTrap, "Is this risky play? YES. Is this highly risky play? Any perception is relative to the person perceiving. What's risky to one is not risky to another. I fabricate a similar device to the one in the url you provided. It's called the CockTrap. I've sold approximately 200 of these over the course of the last two years and have not received one report of any buyer having received an infection. A friend of mine made and sold Prince Albert Wands for more than ten years, and he told me in all that time nobody ever reported an infection to him either. In short, the average length of male urethra is six inches long, which makes it less prone to urethral infection than women's urethra's. The CockTrap is made entirely of stainless steel, and I take utmost care to make sure ALL pieces are smooth, with no sharp edges. I fabricate so that there are approximately three inches of urethra behind the point where the tube ends inside the body, keeping it relatively far from the bladder. As with any sort of edge play, the best thing you can do is educate yourself as much as possible, then make your decision based on the information you've gathered... All the best, Nexo" If anyone has any experience with the KTB for 24/7 use it'd be appreciated. My biggest problem is i don't have great dexterity in my left hand which pretty much means i'm stuck with one hand, and with being in a long distance relationship no help to put the device on. i've tried multiple deviices but you'd be surprised how hard they are to put on with one hand. Thanks again for your help, blake Not familiar with the Cocktrap, do you have a link? As for the KTB, that's not going to happen 24/7. Suggest you look at something more traditional. Both are at malechastitynow.com As for 24/7 on the KTB under sizing it says "The mild version is by far the most popular version sold and is meant for 24/7 wear. " Any thoughts? OK, I do remember seeing the Cocktrap before. Interesting device. I suspect that neither the Cocktrap or especially the KTB would be suited for 24/7 wear. My guess would be that a day or two would be the limit before things turned from uncomfortable to painful. Or, things could get really ugly. But, some people enjoy pain. And that's perfectly OK. Either way, good luck to you and please keep us posted. I had a "Cock Trap" for awhile. While I was able to escape and have a orgasm while wearing it I still think it has the potential to be a great device for some men. AND it is quite comfortable (I couldn't wear it very long because my erections are quite intense and my penis is quite large). If your penis isn't more than 6 inches when erect I think it should be fine. As far as escaping you need to be quite determined have good dexterity and no erection. I am just on the nose of being six in. As for the dexterity I have the one hand, but not the other to due to cerebral palsy, and wouldn't want any scaring. It does seem that one can get the KTB, and a urethral wand, almost identical to the cocktrap, the wand itself would prevent most erections, but the KTB would be there for backup. Any thoughts? blake I own a KTB and have used it occasion. Note that I got it many years ago, and it was not from malechastitynow.com. I'm a "grower" and not a "shower" and whilst it was fine when flaccid (I really couldn't feel it), it was very, very painful when erect. I had a girlfriend who enjoyed teasing me in it and watching me squirm on the floor in agony. Definitely not something I would wear 24x7 -- night times would be far too interrupted and painful. There are several other things that I found detracted from it: - It was difficult and fairly painful to put on. I had a non-hinged one and it required a bit of force to open, and you had to be pretty careful to ensure nothing too sensitive got pinched in things. Holding it together whilst working the padlock onto it was difficult. - I could masturbate in it if I was really careful and didn't pump the shaft but just focussed on the head. I did orgasm in it once just to see if I could, in the shower just using soap and water. - I could slide out eventually if I used lube and pressed down carefully on the shaft and eased a bit of skin past some of the teeth. Maybe a tighter one wouldn't have this issue, but then it would have been continually painful. - The "teeth" were normal staples from a staple gun (well, that's what they looked like) and started rusting. As they would occasionally dig in enough to draw flecks of blood (particularly when attempting to get hard) I didn't want that near my skin. I do have a question, as the KTB that you have was from a different manufacturer, being the original most likely, did they offer degrees of severity, or was it a one severity, and take a measurement type device? From what i can surmise from the the original it was awfully painful. The one review that i'm going on for the new one said that it was his favorite chastity device to wear 24/7 as it was "noticeable" when he got erection, and almost not when he did not. That's what caught my eye. The review said it took a good week of determination to get used to it, but his body quickly adjusted, to both the pain and the stimuli of the pain, stopping the erection rather than increasing it. Unfortunately i can't find that review again, but that was the jist of it. Thanks again. blake Any first hand input on 24/7 use of either device would be appreciated.
