Does anyone else get the impression that someone or a group of someones is posting all sorts of makebelieve people here on CL? I've noticed that there have been a bunch of new 'women' members that create profiles mostly in the female dominant group but also in the other female groups that have really pretty vanilla photos, usually only one, and their profiles usually don't say anything about BDSM. Mostly they don't write anything at all or just say something about looking for sex. A lot of these profile have a Yahoo email address attached. I'm just wondering what's up. I know there are all sorts of people on here that are just trying to sell something or trying to get people to look at porn sites, but I'm wondering what's up with these 'pretty girls' who seem to have no interest in BDSM.

Well, I have done that a lot lately, change my name, for personal reasons. I do not have an interest profile for BDSM listed either. I know it isn't me you speak of, cause I don't consider myself 'pretty'. I have always chosen to not put an interest bdsm profile up because I never have used this site as a dating site. I have hoped that would deter people from cmailing me. Didn't work, but it is okay. I don't pay attention to that part of cm.

i am new and actually fell for one of them. it took some arm twisting but finally she was like,"how are we gonna do this if you dont trust me?" Now i have cap 1 problems. i wouldnt count on them being who they say they are if theyre pic looks like a pro playboy air brushed shot, there are no bdsm aspects in said pic or interests listed, they have a short or generic profile, but above all if they send you somewhere for age verification and you have to give your cc numer. All of these things combined is things i have noticed about the "women" the original post was talking about. There are those Ladies though who have very nice professional pics who are real. I guess you can just kinda tell from the profile. Down with the scams.

I'm not sure why CM should be expected to be different from any other dating website which is chalk full of fake profiles. It's just the nature of the web. You always need to be careful, never give anyone any money or credit card info ever, and just use common sense. I make it my business to report then hide every profile that is fake, that way I don't have to deal with them.

There isn't anything particularly 'new' about it, except the joining dates of those who seem compelled to bring it to others attention.
