LadyEllen -> a riddle - who am I and who am I not? (12/19/2009 7:57:24 AM)

It is time to recognise that the world of mankind is no different to the rest of nature; a vicious struggle where the strongest prosper and the weak perish.

It is time to realise that our survival depends on our strength of will and our strength of arms to assert ourselves against others who would take what we have and destroy us.

Further, that our survival and our success relies on taking what others have and destroying them utterly that we might prosper, for the Earth has but finite resources to support our prosperity, and should we fail in this sacred duty then we must fall and our seed be wiped from the Earth as weak and unworthy of life.

And we should abandon and reject entirely any weak minded fools amongst us, who appeal to ideas of the common dignity of mankind and universal human rights, who call out that things will work out if we only cooperate and share the resources amongst all such that all might prosper. Such notions are evidence of weakness in the struggle for life and as corrosive elements to our resolution to adhere to the Law Of Life must be expunged utterly, lest they spread amongst us, weaken us and render us unworthy of life.

We must turn all hands to one common cause – our utter victory over all others and our dominion over their inheritance, and to this end we cannot afford disparate views to contaminate our path; all must submit themselves to this common cause in our survival and prosperity according to our superior understanding of the world. For if we fail in this uniformity then the weakness spread thereby, like a cancer penetrating our being, shall cause us to be destroyed.

We must come always before I, for as individuals we can do little to resist and destroy the forces ranged against us. For those who willingly submit to the greater good they can expect the prosperity and success for themselves and their offspring that is their rightful and lawful reward, whilst for those who resist and seek to assert themselves against their fellows they shall receive the rightful and lawful sentence which all violations of the great Law bring on those judged weak and unworthy of life.

Economically, militarily and above all politically we must stand united as one body, removing any that vary from within or resist from without, in the struggle to triumph over others which is our rightful duty to ourselves and our descendants.

To Victory!

E

Sounds like le Bon's own personal line of BS.

But then again I tend to get those European windbags confused.

Seems too easy, though.

This is too serious for me, I just want to learn something, enjoy myself, and have some fun. What did the Beatles say? "Talk about destruction and don't you know you can count me out. You say you want a revolution... Oh yeah"

I can't get no, satisfaction... I can't get no...

AnimusRex -> RE: a riddle - who am I and who am I not? (12/19/2009 5:28:20 PM)

Hmmm....
Bitter selfishness, arrogant disdain for morality and humanity, acknowledgement of social Darwinism....that narrows it down to the late 19th or early 20th century right wing...

Complete sentences, fully formed thoughts, keen grasp of the English language...eliminates Sarah Palin...

Articulate upper class British sentence structure...eliminates any radio pundit, or Fox talking head...

Leaving the pool narrowed down to American upper class patricians, East Coast/ Ivy League twits.

I am guessing George Will, Dick Cheney, anyone at National Review...or Adolf Hitler.
Not enough daylight to separate them.

I was down with the guy who said Herbert Spencer and still am. Gotta go get one of his books and read it through one day.

Brave words. The first task will be how to eliminate 200 or so who fight for the same WalMart salesperson position you are applying.

Some interesting guesses so far, but no one's got it as yet, however close they've come.

NG - you must have some interesting street corners up there; here we mainly have incoherent drunks.

Kinda got ol' Freddy Nietzsche's stamp all over it.

I'd be surprised were it an Englishman because English Imperialism was always explained by the spread of commerce/free trade/liberal values etc....I don't ever recall reading a prominent Englishman of that day who appealed to a fight for survival as a pretext to invading countries.

I'd go for a late 19th century German - being the 'land in the middle' they were worried about encirclement which bred ideas of 'a struggle for survival'. What about Bismarck on German unification?

estah -> RE: a riddle - who am I and who am I not? (12/20/2009 5:01:05 AM)
