It is time to recognise that the world of mankind transcends the rest of nature; we can and do triumph over the vicious struggle where the strongest prosper and the weak perish.

It is time to realise that our ability to confront and overcome the threats to our survival, arising from our adaptability and ingenuity over centuries means that we can win the game of life on this planet, and not just for ourselves but for our entire species and all others too.

It is no longer the case that we must compete with one another, if indeed it ever was the case, but rather we must now cooperate with one another to ensure the satisfactory distribution of resources that all might prosper. The Earth may be finite, but our technology and will are infinite to this end.

No longer must we heed the voices that urge fear and distrust of others that have in the past led us to ever more disastrous conflicts. No more must we seek and celebrate the fulfilment of jealous aggression in taking the inheritance of others for our own selfish aggrandisement. Such voices are dangerous, risking catastrophe for all in their outdated view of the world.

For the world has changed and it is we who have changed it, making it possible and indeed insisting that it is necessary and right that all mankind is afforded dignity and justice in the security of the brotherhood of humanity if any are to be so graced. We are for the first time in history cognisant of our ability and need to cooperate on a global basis for our own sakes.

We must turn all hands to one common cause – our utter victory over the self centred and isolated view that has only ever brought pain, suffering and death to our fellow man, and to this end we cannot afford disparate views to contaminate our path; all must submit themselves to this common cause in our progress and prosperity according to our superior understanding of the world. For if we fail in this uniformity then the weakness spread thereby, like a cancer penetrating our being, shall cause us to be destroyed as it has so often risked before.

There is no longer I, only we, for whilst as individuals we can do much to resist our own selfishness this must be understood to be for the sake of we as a whole. For those who willingly submit to the greater good they can expect the prosperity and success for themselves and their fellows worldwide that is their rightful and lawful reward, whilst for those who resist and seek to assert themselves against their fellows they shall receive the rightful and lawful verdict of the world in the confrontation and destruction they seek.

Economically, spiritually and above all politically we must stand united as one body, correcting any that vary from within or resist from without, in the struggle to triumph over ourselves which is our rightful duty to the world of man and the Earth we share with all of life.

To Mankind!

E

A very worthy dream, for it will ever be a dream, whilst we are trained, educated and managed by a system that thrives on the position of the few against the ardour of the many.

United anyone, is a good idea, but can it be done, whilst there is always someone seeking a position of power over other people, a very human condition, and a subject brought to the fore even on this website, those that believe domination is their natural being, there will always be people who seek to dominate, maybe the answer to achieving this dream you write about, is quelling dominance, as it is dominance that has created history, could we be something better if the dominant nature is restrained.

It is the voice of 'we' so it can't therefore be any individual.

I think Eisenhower never used the word "whilst." Has to be English.

Actually this is me; this is the higher me that would like to think that everyone else thinks this way and so we might all not only get along well with one another but actually all do very well indeed out of doing so.

It is a side of me that despite all of its positive nature must be tempered with the reality that the vast majority are lazy, selfish and ignorant. That they must be strictly controlled and beaten from start to finish in any task allocated to them and beaten down when they should complain. That they respect only strong leadership that brooks no freedom to accomplish things in any other way than that ordered. That they expect and require to be treated unfavourably to the point of utter contempt and they expect and need that I as leader exploit them to the full and engage corruptly in that exploitation.

Because this is how they see and understand the world. Not as a team effort where all might benefit from working together but as the theatre of selfish exploitation; they see the enlightened side of me as weakness to be exploited by them for their selfish ends and as a mere smokescreen on my part to hide the corrupt practices and selfish exploitation I must (obviously) pursue.

And indeed this is how the world actually is, despite all insistence to enlightened values. Ruthlessly competitive, punishing of every weakness whether real or imagined, a place in which dominion over others and the seizure of what it theirs – not because of need but because of ability to do so – is the natural order and the expectation of all.

This is depressing for someone holding what might be seen as enlightened views. But it is the world in which such views must prevail against the storm of bestial instinct that surrounds and batters it constantly, attempting at every moment to turn those views into their antithesis.

We can make a better world for all with such enlightened values, but only if we force it to be so by the sort of strong leadership that the majority, in their lazy, selfish ignorance crave.

E
