Shock Treatment ...

The only cast member from RHPS to return was Richard O'Brien (Riff-Raff).  But then again,  he wrote both productions.

Jim Carrey in the Cable Guy...and pretty much any movie where he's trying to be Over the top...
And I could add Adam Sandler for the same reason..the Water Boy...ughhh

texancutie -> RE: Worst Movie You Have Seen (11/4/2006 11:29:06 PM)

Give My Regards to Broadstreet.  A Paul McCartney movie....need I say more?  I fell asleep...lol.   My girlfriend dragged me to it.   If you ever suffer from insomnia, just rent this rotten tomato if you can find it.  Though it actually could be considered a form of punishment if you manage to stay awake.

I agree with people before who said Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.  I went to go see this movie with my vanilla boyfriend that I was visiting in Miami.  I BEGGED him to take me to see it because someone told me it was good.  At the time I had no prior knowledge of Jim Carrey or his type of comedy.  My boyfriend didn't want to go at all, but finally he took me.  OMG, it was SO bad.  I kept saying during the movie, "We can go, this is really bad."  But he said, "Oh no, you wanted to see it."  He even fell asleep and snored a little bit at one point.  When we were walking out I was saying, "But Dan Marino was in it!"  And my boyfriend, the die-hard Dolphins fan who thought Marino was GOD, said he lost respect for him for having anything to do with the movie.  If we had been in a D/s relationship I'm sure I would have ended up in a cage for the rest of the day.

Good Night and Good Luck.  It wsa documentary, had no high point, no actual story movement and the ending finished and I felt like it was one LONG History channel bit

Batman and Robin - the one with Poison Ivy and the Iceman.  That was so bad my friend and I were applauded for making fun of the movie while it was playing.  The ushers wanted to escort us out, ad the other viewers yelled about it, since we were the only entertainment they were getting for their 8 bucks.  They let us stay.

I love History and I love good documentaries.  Have wanted to rent Good Night and Good Luck to see how well it did match the whole McCarthy era.  Interesting time period in our nation's history.  I bet this most recent period will be as well.  I am sure there are inconsistencies, but am going to view it and see what they are.

I have always been into History and Archeology....so am sure what bores others...might interest me.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Worst Movie You Have Seen (11/5/2006 12:11:16 AM)

It would have been fine watched at home, if you were expecting historical accuracy. It was pretty dead on.  However, it didnt make for a very exciting story, which was the problem.

texancutie -> RE: Worst Movie You Have Seen (11/5/2006 12:17:01 AM)

I guess I don't need exciting from movies.  I find various views interesting.  Even disturbing ones or ones that don't necessarily agree with my view on things.  Guess I could be the proverbial fly on the wall that way.  [;)]

GoreanGuy -> RE: Worst Movie You Have Seen (11/5/2006 12:31:17 AM)

lets see
Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou- Bill Murray sucks

Gor/Outlaw of Gor, yeah I know the Irony in me saying this but the movies were nothing like the books they totally made the movies opposite the lifestyle

Eternal Sunshine- not one of Jim Carrey's best movies

Open Waters- with all the milk of the movie they used (milking a boring scene for 2 hours isnt much of a movie) they could feed the all of the cats in the world their whole life

desiremaker -> RE: Worst Movie You Have Seen (11/5/2006 12:38:29 AM)

Good Night and Good Luck was a great movie in the way it so accurately portrayed the times(all the cigarette smoke prevalent in the meeting room scenes) and the sheer terror that a martinet like Joe McCarthy could inspire.  Today, it is a martinet like GWB, trampling over our civil liberties while screaming "terrorists" while he does nothing to insure real security for us here in the United States, and makes a waste of Iraq.  God Bless America?  They had better hope that God is an atheist, the bunch of immoral bastards!!  Worst movie of all time, hands down, My Dinner with Andre.  If you have never seen it, check it out and try to watch it and follow the dialogue.  I want whatever that scriptwriter was smoking.

TxBlkMistress -> RE: Worst Movie You Have Seen (11/5/2006 12:45:11 AM)

oooh how could I forget...kevin kostner's Robin Hood Prince of Theives...I sure felt robbed seeing this one.   Wasn't happy with wyatt earp either.....lol

GoreanGuy -> RE: Worst Movie You Have Seen (11/5/2006 1:04:12 AM)
