I was wondering about this apparent rise in sea level and wondered will the rise be gradual, or will it be a torrent, much like what was reported in the Black Sea deluge theory , if it is the former, well, we are humans, we adapt to survive, if the latter, like Noah of the old testament was reported to have done, get building a big boat, or at least scramble for high ground. I suppose it depends on how much ice melts, how much ice is there, if it all melted, how high will sea levels rise, has that calculation been done, and is it real cause for concern, or is it just a hoohar because it will rise and we have not seen that happen before. But, if it is industry the world leaders are thinking about, simply, move it to counter any threat.
Interestingly, the Noah theory, no doubt something did happen to give rise to the stories, but as to engulfing the world, maybe doubtful, maybe even the Black Sea deluge theory was it, but the world was the known world at the time, the area of the medi tera anean, which was in the history we know, the centre of the world. But what caused the sea to rise then to cause the flood, rain it was said in the bible, forty days and forty night, is that possible, and the water dumped, is it enough to raise the world sea level to catastrophic proportions, maybe the mediteranean was a lake then, joined between the modern Gibraltar and Morocco.
Anyways as regards the three billion world population projected growth, well, I am kind of skeptical of, as not one us is able to know the future, and I am very dubious of anything projected via computer modelling, we simply do not know enough variables to create reliable data, quite simply because we don't know everything like some people think they do. Technology in the form of rapid number crunching computers, is in it's relative infancy, we can't suddenly take this new tool as an absolute over the illogical human mind. The world is not a binary black and white, a series of zeros and ones, it tends to work in that computer undefineable quantity, the illogical, things might happem, and again, they might not, perhaps our reliance on logic, is our modern undoing. Binary, is a primary number system, perhaps we need machines that work on a more advanced mathematical system, before we draw any conclusions to possibilities, but nothing can tell the future.
Another thing which occurs, take our entertainment industry, the moving picture from it's birth, how many disaster movies has there been made, ficticious events, floods, plagues, planet crunching meteors, volcanoes, earthquakes, sea monsters, aliens,instantaneous climatic change etc, where always there is a happy ending despite all odds, the truth, we thrive on these movies, so it may be it has come into our conscious mind that disasters will happen, and if they have not happened yet, they will, they are coming, the entertainment industry, might have unwittigly educated us to expect the worst, a worst that as children, the scientists of today were like us, brought up on.
Maybe it is Al Gore has also noticed the educational possibilities of movies, how disaster movies have influenced us, and used this educational tool to push an agenda, he himself stands to make on, something tidy for his old age, seeing as his whitehouse career is over. If this suspicion is so, Al Gore strikes me as a very clever man, but it will take other clever men to realise the truth in this matter and there limit the damage to all of us, should a fraud based upon misinformed science take place.
